Membership tally?

Afternoon all,

Does anyone know what the current membership tally is? There is no counter up on the gfc.com.au site yet.

Would be interested to compare this to this time last year given the season we had on '06.

If anyone has read/heard anything, post away (i'm bored @ work)

Disappointing...It would be ahead of last year it we were at that mark.

I sent my form back the day I received it and my membership pack arrived in under a week.

I did mine on a wednesday in mid-December and it arrived the following monday.

I think you'll find that with the NAB Cup opener at the cattery the tally will jump well ahead of last year. As silly as it sounds, the clubs performance in the NAB Cup will have a huge effect on membership sales.

I have no doubt that the biggest membership kicker last year was due to our success in the preseason and considering that we didn't play at the cattery it was a damn fine effort.

Let's face facts, if your a true supporter you buy a membership. Simple as that.

That's one reason why winning the preseason competition can never be a bad thing. Big injection of prizemoney, and as you correctly pointed out - a significant surge to membership. Memberships = money, so it has to be a benefit to the club.

Apparently Freo are at over 33k already.....and i'd expect Collingwood to be up there with Essendon atm, all the members renewing early (ish).

I am estimating a figure of around 30k this season, possibly more if we do well in the Nab Cup and first few rounds.

We had 21,724 on Feb 21st last year,so that's not that far behind.With all the doomsdayers around you would've thought we'd struggle to get 10,000 .....for the year.

Looks like we could be well on the way to another 30,000+ year, keep in mind that we don't play in Geelong until round 5 so we are every chance to get near last year's total, we could even set another record if the boys come out firing in the first 4 rounds.

Give them a call. Mine was 1 and a half weeks once, so I rang them. The one I rang about arrived in 3 days, the one on standard time arrived 2 days later. Oops... BUT, they do fix it up for you.
