Since when have Hawthorn and Richmond needed to merge???? both teams are in a much better place than Melbourne and the Kangaroos.
It amazes me that so many people on BF think Richmond need to merge with someone simply because of our lack of on field success in recent times. I think you'll find it's the off field problems that cause clubs to merge. Maybe you should think before you post.

Maybe you're blanket is a bit out of date, but unfortunately, we're not moving to the Gold Coast.

I just had a gander at the Melbourne Demons (sorry Melbourne) webpage, and it says you're membership is going through the roof. With under 20000 members, this roof must be the height of a Filipino Mudhut. What ever the situation, we have got an increased membership, and our club is performing reasonably well. We have a home base that is to become of the premier sporting presincts in Victoria, and unlike your team, we will actually have our administration AND training base in the one area.

I really hope your club survives, but i'd have a look at where my club is currently positioned, before I start mouthing off about other clubs.
