AOK
I noticed on Saintsational that u posted the following:
Hey Bigred, regarding that saying - The proof is in the pudding. - I used that recently and my wife (who does actually know everything ) said the real saying is ... The proof is in the eating. It's funny how things become twisted, then the norm! Like, "Play it again Sam" was never said in Casablanca, yet is commonly thought to have been said by Bogart.
Now I know you are going to think that I'm a real smart****, but the actual saying is..."The proof of the pudding is in the eating".
It is one of those sayings that really bugs me, and is used (incorrectly) all the time by the football fraternity. While I'm at it another one that bugs me is...."It all goes well for a good game this Saturday"...when it should be augurs well.
Sorry AOK, I guess I'm a little cranky because I can't get into ******* Saintsational, no matter what I try, and I've been laid up with a crook knee. .
I hope you understand.
