Which one will be the better player when we look back at the two guys at the end of their careers? At the moment thewy are very similar players but Johnson much better, probably due to being a bit stronger and having more experience.
Johnson for mine will turn more into your Adam Goodes style footballer and run into the middle more while Ryder i see more as your running CHB.

Its a tough decision and i have trouble splitting the 2.

Both are going to be very good players for the next 10+ years.

When Ryder Bulks up and with more experience, he will be an awesome player for us.

Its interesting that you would compare Johnson to Goodes style when Ryder is the one who can go into the ruck and make an impact.

His tap work is second to none at the club.

I see Johnson as more of a midfielder than Ryder. Goodes doesnt ruck anymore.

Ryder by miles. His main problem at this stage is brain-fades. Tends to lose concentration at crucial times. Pretty sure he'll sort that problem out. Freo badly need top-shelf talent now. Trading away top superdraft picks for Tarrant and Solomon was just plain stupid, and is going to cost Freo for the next 4-5 years. :)

I`m giving Johnson some credit here, if he`d played v us earlier this year Freo would`ve won.

Ok fair enough obviously i didnt understand what u wrote properly.

Johnson was unlucky to miss All-Australian last season but has been just o.k so far this year. He has a lot of talent.

But Ryder for me.

I'm not anti-Ryder and am on his bandwagon a bit too, but can someone tell me what he has actually done?

It's probably more about his improvement in such a short time.

Last year he played like a rabbit caught in the headlights.

This year he has played key position and done some nice shutdown jobs, while still giving us plenty of run.

He is also an excellent kick which is something we really need.

His form has tapered off as the season has gone on, which is to be expected.

He is a massive talent, lets hope he delivers on that talent.
