If I was a Pies supporter I would be livid. Yeah the Lions had a great side but bringing up a GF performance from 5 years ago, rubbing the Pies nose in it and then saying "thats the reason they can't win" is garbage. Hopefully the Pies use this as ammo tonight.

But why is it great. Voss talking about the Lion prowling around the jungle, the supreme beast of all animals. What is he - a journo from National Geographic? Most self absorbed piece of crap ever written.

Fair enough but IMO thats self belief. The Hawks of the 80's had a bit of arrogance about them but most of them (with the exception of Dermott) says they had confidence in each other. This is just isolating a team and saying 5 years down the track, they are suspect. Does he even know anything about the Pies current list?

It has got nothing to do with violins. There is not one Collingwood supporter that could say anything to deny that:

1. You embarrassed us in 2003 GF
2. You have owned us since 2002

But that article so far over the top. Especially coming from Voss who is just recently retired. There is no way Buck's would write an article such as that about another club.

I don't disagree with the points. It is the manner in which he is now putting them across. I would think as a media commentator now he needs to show less bias towards Brisbane.

When Caro/Walls/Sheahan writes similar articles with huge bias, these boards are filled with hate. Why not for Voss? Yes he is an undisputed champion of the game. I would much prefer to read about his insight into match day tactics or something similar.

Why turn it into a "Buckley left Brisbane" thread?? There are plenty of other threads that have turned into that for you to contribute to. The only reason I mentioned Bucks is the fact they are both in the print and TV media now and both retired basically at the same time and both are arguably two of the best players in the last decade.

Yeah maybe but l think he has earnt the right to reflect on a champion team and what made them so. Arrogance is part of it if you want to call it that.

In this sense he discusses how the pies could move through a defining stage in building their own top side.
