Michael 'no plan B' Voss, seemed to deploy a good little Plan B last night.

Troops injured, had to scrap, made a scrap. I think it was our coaching staffs move moreso than Lyons.

Not trying to knock him after a win but I thought the images from the rooms were a bit concerning. Players barely even looked like they were happy with the win.

Maybe reading too much into it but I thought they'd be a bit more up and about after a solid win we needed to keep our season alive. Perhaps they're just being more realistic given they, like us, probably know they're a way off the best teams right now.

Gassed. Injured. Shit standard of game. Would've been that keen to get the **** out of there with a pizza on the way home.

I think Lyon also flooded our forward line to make it difficult to score which slowed the game down and suited us. Just created more congestion and helped us get through the game with only 61 interchanges to Saints 69.

For what's it is worth: we are defending very well bar the Richmond & Adelaide game.

Voss deserves credit for that.

We've seen it all come together in the second half of '23.
Let's hope we can get back to that from here.

Once again we can't even score 10 goals with 2 of the best key forwards in the comp. Plenty of inside 50's.

We need to mix it up. Lead Lead Lead Lead Lead. No player standing still. Lead forward, lead back, lead sideways just move.

Move the ball quick into space. Don't switch the play slowly. Don't go backwards slowly. The other teams press up and guaranteed turnover.

Most importantly when we kick in, we need to out number the opposition. We have the ball in our hands so we know where the ball is going so we have no excuse to be out numbered or out marked.

Unfortunately i don't think Voss is the man for the job. Who are these quality assistant coaches we are supposedly getting to help Voss? If there was quality out there why haven't we already got them? Move Voss on and lets start again.

If someone at the club isn't talking to Longmire we are behind the 8 ball as usual.

The problem with this side has always been the gap between the best and worst.
Voss has had 4 years to close it now but has failed.
The best 22 is one of the oldest in the comp and has some of the worst foot skills in the comp.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Voss more pissed off than in his presser last night. Finally!!
He’s not only highlighted how the players let us down but gave the umpires a serve and the put the MRO on notice.
Well done Vossy. That’s what we need. Get into them all. Flower them.

I thought Voss coached really well last night. Players couldn't execute.

We should've been up by a lot at quarter time. Whole side shat the bed in the 4th. Couldn't hit water falling out of a boat.

Is this our game style?
It's dour; it's exhausting to watch.
Can only imgine having to play it.
Is it bringing out the best in our players?
Was it just the 2 teams we last played?

Seems to me Vossy doesn't actually get that our forward line entries need work. He's happy with bombing it in..as long as there are lots of chances that's fine.
At least that's what I got from him. Very dismissive when journo tried to point out it was an issue. More interested in how we got the ball there well from back half.
