Speaking of Caeser, I saw him get jammed up the bum on Spartacus by a young boy in the last episode.

On the plus side, with four initials they should find admission to some of the better clubs easier. My children will hate me every time they have to write out their full name.
We have:
First Name - Family Name - Middle Name - Wife's Maiden Name - Surname.
Tradition in both our families were for middle name after grandparents, and my wife had no male siblings or cousins so end of lineage.
Our family seems to use middle names as a way to carry on family names without lumbering the child with an outdated moniker for day-to-day use. Common names in our family include Basil, Heather, Valentine, Herbert, Cecila and Patricia. I'll be damned if I'm calling my kids any of those, but I'll probably give them one as a middle name to keep everyone happy.
I went to high school with a guy who had the same first, middle and last names as I did. Caused no end of problems.

I wouldn't have said Julius was that common but I guess based on the evidence of this thread a 'J' middle name is all the rage.Ha. Neither. I lucked out, mine is exceptionally common.
90% of middle names start with J.
I've always thought they had a place, notable example being the two Josh Kennedy's.
With Paul Roos having created a ground breaking system of telling them apart (JOEY Kennedy!), I now see them as obsolete.
Seriously though, I think they're good for honouring late parents or grandparents.

That's not what I was getting at...anyway66% of the time... it works every time (sorry but had to reference anchorman quote there)
Mine's a bit peculiar; my first name is my Chinese name but since no one can pronounce it, I have a Western name ias well and that is my middle name.
I don't mind being called either if you get it right.

Haha. As I said earlier, my middle name is james. My sisters middle name is Louise.I guess James is the male version of Jane/Rose/Kate. Every 2nd person has it.
edit: You could add Louise to that as well.
