What did everyone think of that last night?

It's a worry. Unless that was purely due to match ups.
But he was done for pace all night. I think the winger has actually become an important position again, as teams work harder to limit Geelong going through the centre you don't want to be exposed on a turn over down the wing.

I'm worried for the guy. If they can't find a spot for him all it will take is for Duncan to stand up until Varcoe/stokes come back and dasher has to make way.

Of course that is reliant on match ups, Lonners holding form, no injuries etc.

Vin , id give him a bit of time. Wait till May and later , raining and windy at KP, conditions not conducive for modern football and he will come in to his own yet again. He might not be quick of legs but his judgement and hardness at a contest will ensure he is a very valuable player for us.

Duncan will be a good player but he looked overwhelmed at times by the size of the opposition , and that was only Essendon not Saints or the Dogs.

I thought he was fine.

If he falls out of the 22 this season then so be it, you won't find many players with his physical characteristics who have had better careers. But it only takes a minor injury to someone in the back 6 and he'll be right there.

i get the feeling that Milburn is going to be played very conservatively through the first 12 rounds, given that he's 33 and seems to be developing a few ongoing ankle, calf and hamstring issues.

Struth, it has nothing to do with how we played.

It was a question in regards to where they played him. Time will tell.

I don't think anyone is having a go at milburn. It is about where he played.

I said a number of times while watching at the G that it was strange to have Dasher on the wing. He must have had a shut down role..??

Mackie (unless fully occupied by some task in defence) would have been very damaging on a wing.

I also thought it a strange move.

Called it - I knew as soon as I saw them madly giving his hammy a lot of work on Friday that he wouldn't be playing against the Hawks. Conservative +++
