Millers amazing tap...To Aker

🥰 Love BigFooty? Join now for free.

I'm not sold. SURELY he heard a voice. Surely aker said something like 'just here millsy' or something to that effect. There's no way he's stupid enough to just tap it to space in the backline. Unless he really is that stupid...
EDIT: It was undisciplined anyway, should've grabbed it.

Oh he heard a voice alright, and the voice said "we want to see 426 play so hurry up and make a knob of yourself" :D

Edit: His tackle on Matty Whelan a few years ago was better :o

I went to the gabba tonight and saw Dunny in the race when they were walkin off... I told him he should be in the side and he said I know! Bring back Dunn FFS!

Miller is out of touch, tho im questioning if he ever had touch? he couldnt hold a mark leading forward, work in the backline was non existant. How is this guy our vice captain? Beyond me. Bring back dunn.

Gee we've really jumped off the Miller bandwagon... the guy is seriously lacking in confidence, probably brought on by the fact that ND will not leave him in his most suited position up forward. He will be much after a couple of games in his best spot, and we should persist with him. Dunn will be good but he's still a bit skinny to hold down CHF going towards the finals.

No offence mate, but i think thats bull****.

Dunn is easily good enough to hold down CHF, hes quick and a better mark than Miller and kicks goals, which Miller seems incapable of doing.

Miller was tryed at CHF last night and didnt do anything at all, so he went down back and fed Akermanis beautifully.

I have a theory, probably crap but hear me out. You always hear about Chris Tarrant only being good against lesser opponents and then goes missing when he's on quality defenders. I'm not saying Miller is the same as Tarrant, but I suggest when we play against Carlton that we leave him at CHF for the whole game just so he can gain some confidence and hopefully get his touch back. I'm not saying the game against Carlton is going to be a walk in the park, but if he takes some grabs and kick a few, it'll do a world of good for him. I'd like to think that if Lance were to play on him, he'd probably tear him up, atleast on fitness levels. If he can hit some form going into the finals, it's just adding another effective string to our bow

i have got to day i am sick of the melbourne supporters that continually call for miller's head, the guy is still young and only a few years ago was a favourite of supporters. I was down at the bentleigh club a few weeks ago watching the West Coast game and was embarrassed by how miller is constantly made the scapegoat, it also occurs at games. Miller is in the leadership group, and therefore thought very highly of at the club, a fit tall player like him does not come around every day, and should definitely be persisted with. He is the kind of player that if traded would become a great player and annoy you every time he played well.

He is a good player who is simply lacking confidence, i dont care where Danners plays him, just put him on one spot and stick with, ensuring he becomes comfortable. Ideas of trading him seem simply rediculous. He only turned 23 on thursday, and has almost a decade left in him, he played very well early in his career and i think too much became expected of him, let him mature as a player and get off his back for gods sake, just let the guy play. The tap to Aker was unfortunate but so what, these things happen, lets move on and i am certain he'll be a 200 game player for the MFC.

I hear what you are saying mate, but if we are serious about winning the premiership this year we need to play our best 22 and Miller isnt as good an option as Dunn is, fact.

Let Miller find some form again back at Sandy like all of the other players have to do when out of form, why should Miller be any different?

i am fine with that, if he isnt playing well, then yes send him back to the twos, but its the trade talk that i am sick of, note however that in form miller would be in our best 22, and perhaps the only way for him to regain confidence may be by being in the seniors, i am a fan of dunn dont get me wrong, but he has gone missing at times, such as the port game, miller may be a better option under the pressure of a finals atmosphere, not to say that dunn is strong enough to cope aswell

dunn may certainly end up being a better player in the long run, but perhaps this year if miller can hit his straps, and he has 8 weeks to, then he may be a better option, and both may be able to fit into the squad

I wouldnt be able to trust Miller in a finals atmosphere, he panics, even last year when he was in form at CHF, he often gave off these shocking handballs after taking the grabs.

Hes not good under pressure.

I'm with you I get sick of all the talk about a trade for Miller; he is only young will come good, maybe we will have to wait until next year. His confidence is shot and he needs some good games at Sandy to get him back in a positive frame of mind.

I still believe that he may be an option for FF when Neita decides to call it a day; you don't offload a player like him until you have exhausted all avenues.

Last year we played Dutchy in the backline during the pre season and told him that he would be playing there so what happens when the season starts, we play him up forward.

We have done the same with Miller and for some strange reason they threw him down back first game, he got toweled and hasn't recovered.

He is not a back man and eventually they will realise this both at Sandy and at Melbourne.

Hate to state the obvious here but why not

IN: Dunn
OUT: Duddie Holland
Holland?

Holland hasnt been beaten by anyone for 4 weeks, Merrett hardly got a touch on him on the weekend.

dutchy is the most underrated player in our team.
Well...last season it was for a reason. This year he has played very well, even I must give him credit. He'll stay in. As long as Nicho stays out. Forever. The Hun says today that the health of Nicho gives us even more depth. I dont think I've ever found the Hun so funny.
