Your ******edness was too much for the server to handle.
It's true.

Oh well, I can make some more Zelda-related stuff while I wait.

How long would building something as big as the MCG take?

I'd love to help out although I'm yet to play the game (bought it last night). I'd imagine I would want to learn the basics first for awhile and learn how to do most things before I do.

It depends on how many people want to pitch in and how in depth we go. If we do stuff like bays, corperate boxes and a bit outside the stadium, probably a fair while (a month or two is my guess). Time isn't really a worry, as it will be a spare time kind of thing.

We'd all have to be knowing what exactly is being done though. If a bunch of people were building the ground in a different way, it would end up terrible.

I only bought it a couple of days ago - time goes pretty fast and you learn everything pretty quickly. :thumbsu:

Banned within 2 minutes. Winning :)
Class act. :thumbsu:

Details, sir.

So this is the result of my last couple of days or so.

Zelda, Link and the Triforce.

I thought Ganondorf deserved his own image. :p

Not very long.

Nerd alert but fmd it's the most impressive build I've ever seen. For a glimpse at the epicness, check out around 35:00 and 42:15 will blow you away

For anyone doing single player, I recommend the "Aether mod" as it adds a whole new experience of the game.

Zelda fans, there is a huge adventure mod based on "The legend of Zelda". Complete with dual wielding, cut scenes, etc. I haven't played it because it's not my thing but I've seen a few videos about it.

Sign said no griefing, I complained, server has no sense of humour.

The worst thing about minecraft is the 12 year olds, they just don't know how to have "fun". Even the hardcore servers are too structured.

I've been waiting since last October for this thread to take off. Wasn't until the end of February did I stop playing regularly.

There's issues with the server. I reckon we should find another.

And nice, EBIAC. :thumbsu:
Yeah, it's a bit buggy. I'd say another would be best.

Cheers. :thumbsu:

I don't understand why anyone takes any game seriously. The primary purpose is to simply have fun.

With that said, buildzing beez teh sirius biznes.

Just drawing some 'blue prints' (more of a layout) of the MCG. Am drawing the ground from bird's eye view with each brick laid out so you can tall what goes where when we get to laying the turf.

Here's something I thought of - is the actual ground lower than ground level after the seating? I know there's steps up to perimetre of the ground (well, from the Richmond Station end), but does the bottom level go lower than regular ground level?

I really don't think that made much sense. :o

Going into an online server and destroying other peoples creations.
Yeah, there will always be douches who can't work out how to play a game to it's full extent.

Damn all you people talking it up. Am keen to buy the game now.

There are some incredible ones going around.

Join in the fun. Another pair of hands (or hand, depending on what you're doing at your compute ;)) is always welcome.

I'm building my own stadium right now. Dimensions are similar (170 x 140, excluding outside the boundary) and it'll have awesome stands and a huge sign with the ground name.

Oh, and there's a sick lava fall nearby. I'll fence that off and build my future city around it. Pics to come.

Using TooManyItems and SinglePlayerCommands, by the way. I believe I can fly :D

Even though the COD stuff is yawn worthy.

It is well worth spending $20 for the game.

It does depend on the direction you want to take with the game though.

Do you want to go EBIAC's route and download the unlimited resources just so you can build a bunch of sprites and maybe some massive structure like a building or whatever?

Or do you want to play it more gamey (like what I'm doing) and take the frustration of getting r*ped at lower levels by nasties as well at night time. But still have an awesome time mining for precious minerals to help build your kingdom?

It's definitely a hard decision as either one can be extremely fun and trying in their own way.

Personally I am loving the decision I took as I just have a ridiculous amount of plans, but know I have to work really hard to get there. And while it can be extremely frustrating to lose all the stuff I have worked so hard for just because I am in a slightly dull lit area...it's massively rewarding when you can build what you want because of everything that you have found.

I don't really get what you're saying, but I am pretty sure there's lower levels in the MCC area.

It all depends on how far we want to go with it really.

FWIW, if you need pictures or anything of outside the stadium at least, I live 5 mins from the G so can head down and take some at any time.:)

Who banned you on the server, I believe a de-opping is in order.

Tyler or something. Don't really care but would love to see him knocked down a "notch" ;) :D
