Well that sucks, he would have really been valuable in September.

But seriously folks, big pickup that gave a great 1st half - look forward to seeing him next year with a greater hunger.

Shattered. The only saving grace is that we've gained some forward line flexibility in the past few weeks. But this sucks. Hard to believe such a minor looking injury at face value is so serious. Shame I thought he could've made a case for AA selection over the second half of the year.

Geez, yesterday was the first I'd seen of the Demons this season and he was looking sharp. They were checking around the top of his right fibula/lateral knee on one occasion when he went off in the second quarter, wonder if that's any relation/referred pain.

The knee was checked after his first goal when he landed awkwardly IIRC.

Terrible luck for Mitch; Martin, Watts... time to step up lads.

Cheers for that, never heard of it before.

The wikipedia entry on the injury, whilst not as detailed as your article, does provides a good image of the region in the foot where the fracture occurred.

Pretty bloody devastating to be honest. Had a great first half of the season and was in career best form.
Here's hoping either Rivers or Garland can step up to the plate, perhaps Lucas Cook can be given a run.
