In my opinion Mitch Duncan is the most underrated player of this draft.

He will turn out to be a player like Ryan O'Keffe from the Swans. I would have no hesitation in him being picked within the first 15 choices.

He reminds me of Joel Corey. Will be a jet.

Looks a prototype Geelong mid. Good size, versatile, good skills. Cats fast paced game plan is based around continual ball movement and exceptional skills, rather than leg speed, and he has slotted in nicely.

MD looks like a Wayne Hughes special as I said last year.

Duncan's development might have been fast tracked by training with the best midfield in the business...

The Cats got their hands on Duncan due to all the Father-Son picks they were gifted. ;)

Wells>>>>>>>Hine.

Im not sure what the hell FS has to do with Duncan!!!

He has shown enough to say he has all attributes required to have a good AFL career , Glg love these flexible mid sized players with endurance and that he is a bit of a goal kicking player too may make it easier for him to gets some extra early games. Will be a very good player with 50 games under his belt.

People keep missing the real picture. The reason he went second round in the draft is because he had trouble tackling and applying pressure. All the recruiters knew he had skill and talent, he lacked toughness and it's not easy to aquire.

Have watched Duncan in both games, including his game against the Hawks live. I must say that I have been very impressed with him. Looks to be a very smart footballer giving himself every opportunity to have a long and successful AFL career. May not manage to hold his spot in the senior team with some very handy players still to return for the Cats, but has performed very well and if he continues as he is, the coaches down at Geelong would have a very tough decision to make if they drop him.

Yet another quality player capable of playing through the midfield that the Cats are developing.

A few pre-seasons with Max Rooke will sort that problem out.

His averages say it needs improving as well.

GB , I'd agree its something he will have to improve but I'd be surprised if the environment of an AFL club , with full time training and coaching , doesn't go some way to improve him. In his first game against Ess , he just looked to lack the strength and probably technique to be a tackle threat but at least he was willing to try.
In the mean time , I'll be happy to just see what he does well. The goal sense he has shown , his forwardline nous is something that is far harder to acquire than a some muscle for frontal pressure.

He showed some more great signs this weekend.

15 touches and a goal (could have had 3)

very composed player and looks like an enright/joel corey type, talented player who makes good decisions and rarely makes mistakes..like his goal sense.

a fantastic pick at 28.

Did we get that pick from the Mumford trade?? if we did we have been compensated well.

Pretty sure its was Swans 2nd round pick so that would be p28.
I would have said the same before watching his 3 games. He seems similar to Corey but I think he has more goal sense than either of the 2 Joels
