Do you guys think Wood can be a tagger? Does he have a big enough tank? He's a defender who seems to beat his man regularly in duels. Seems to take the game on well.

Perhaps...but not sure he's smart enough to do that sort of job on the best midfielders. It's a little easier as a defender with the ball mostly coming towards you from up the field.

I think we should develop him further as a defender first. He has a lot of attributes but the one that stands out for me is his ability to keep his feet. He simply doesn't go to ground easily like so many of his opponents (and team-mates).

Wood doesnt rack up big possessions so we could try using him in that role and use Picken as a small forward.

I think I asked this before, but why wouldnt Wood make a decent forward - good speed, big leap, nice grab, goes in hard at ground level....

Apart from not knowing anything about how play the role I suppose, but that goes for picken as well.

There is 1 MASSIVE problem with Mitch....he just doesnt have the wheels to get to enough contests any more to perform his 1%ers! If he gets to a contest, he's great. He just doesnt have the speed or the running capacity to get there enough to be effective any more. Would much rather go with Jones who has great speed and stamina, can take a grab and kick a goal.

I just want Mitch to bash and crash and kick those crumbing goals he was so good at.

He's not the most skilled, but he's a competitor, a hard nut, and tough as nails, and after last week's showing we need that.
