I'm a little surprised that you have the Eagles taking a "third tall defender" and pacy midfielders BEFORE taking a ruckman. I would have thought that having a backup ruck, even a young "project player" ,might be more important than yet ANOTHER midfielder who is likely to struggle to get any time on the field.

To be fair I did not pay much attention to teams needs as I took the view that they will take best available. If you think they will take a ruck - then I suspect they will.

Yeah I will update for you and expand on them a little - probably later tonight.

They were more the next in line - had been chopping and changing the list since ND and so they represented the pool I was working with bar the players that are training with the clubs that had been on an AFL list.

I'll grant you Tiller and I'll grant macca69 Matt Stokes and Lenny Clark (albeit he was rookie draft and I was talking of the ND). But Minson and Mackie as left-field selections/smokeys? #7 and #20 would be the two highest smokey ND selections for the last 10 years or more, if they are.

Saw alot of him this year because I am a WP supporter. He has great footy knowledge and is very smart around the goals. Worth a try IMO and I hope one of the WA clubs pick him up.

I have probably read 200 blokes names as possibles for rookie so I thought I would submit my list. Sure many will disagree which is fine - rookie is a lottery as we all know. Its more an order based on best available than on club needs (thats what most clubs do in a rookie).

I too have seen plenty of Strijk. Clever player who i think would really shine in the AFL environment. I know he trained with WC last year, and I hope they've been impressed with him enough to rookie-list him.

Pretty happy with the effort - missed on what I thought were a couple of 'morals' in blokes like Hurley, Buckley, Foster, Weeks, Sheringham, Kennedy Hunt etc.

What a quality draft....
