The term most often applied to mis-heard song lyrics.
One of the most quoted examples is Excuse me while I kiss this guy from Hendrix's Purple Haze (Excuse me while I kiss the sky).
The references to Queen lyrics prompted this thread, for as a young un I used to think the lyric Scaramouche, Scaramouche can you do the fandango was Got a moosh, got a moosh etc. Whatever I thought that meant ... ?
Anyway do you have any favourites of your own?

Hammerhead ... thought it was 'you been hanging with 97 people' ... was 'You've been hanging with the nicest people'

It was the accents.
