You may have heard the segment "Money Munchers" on Sport927 on Sunday mornings where they give the horses not to follow, well I thought we should have a similar thread on here.

I'll start it off.

Naareda - Ran in the last at the Valley today and had a lovely trail into the race but carved up to run second last. Very soft. Avoid her in Saturday class.

Here's another muncher.

Broadband - Has massive wraps on him but I have seen nothing to suggest he is a group horse, which is is been touted as. Yes, he had a tough barrier but he was gone on the turn and finished a mile from the winner.

The same could be said for Great Glen.

Weak.

The 3 leaders were gone as soon as they straightened.

Certainly wasn't one of Ollie's best but boy,did he make up for it on Chong Tong?
A true classic!!

I'd say always forgive them 1 run, leaders were at a huge disadvantage which just makes Squilani's effort even better.
Wouldn't be hopeless in a race like the Vic Health Cup (or whatever it's called this year)

Seth.

I thought it was a reasonably fair track.

Six races around the turn, with Squillani, Northerly and Court Of Jewels winning from the front (with the quinella horse racing close to the pace as well), and three winners coming from behind.

Not sure as I wasn't there but the wind factor may have been a race to race thing.Haven't seen the sectionals but there is no way Great Glen & Broadband should have dropped out at the 400.

As for the Craiglee, just think the first 2 were pretty much the WFA performers,a dud leader would have collapsed.

Last race was strange, backmarkers all waited for cover & leaders skipped away.

As mentioned, just think Squillani may have been the fit up & comer.

Seth.

There was a headwind in the straight.

To be honest, I was looking for leaders from about race 4 onwards. It might explain why I had such a dirty day :D, but the Northerly/Le Zag and Court Of Jewels/Gypsy Lad quinellas were very gettable.

Ugachaka - She is becoming overrated, big time. She rarely wins and there always seems to be an excuse for a defeat. It's either, she struck interference, the track wasn't soft enough, the pace was too slow, etc, etc, etc.

For all the wraps on her, she has been a big disappointment. Don't back her, anywhere!

I couldn't believe people were saying she was unlucky last week. She had every chance, but Purple Groove dashed past her with ease.

Yes, i got sucked in by her today. :(

Was very keen but couldn't believe the price she was dished up.
As soon as Olly never left the fence in the previous I knew my quaddie was in trouble.
Frustrating as Gold Lottey looked the leader in a race full of mares looking for further,$800 plus was a terrific divvy with an even money start.
Ugachaka will probably step to something harder & win at 25/1.
Beware.

I'd leave the jury out on Great Glen at this stage.

It was always going to happen, you tell yourself to forgive them one run, then you ignore your better judgement & they bob up at $30 plus.

Just waiting for Ugachaka to do the same now.

Seth.

Dash For Cash - Sick of the press regarding his class, etc, etc. He was woeful in the Caulfield Cup and today's effort was pathetic. Anything over 1600m don't bother backing him.

North Boy - A field of five B Grade sprinters and he can't run a place. He was meant to be a class above them. He is a muncher extraordinaire.
