Cannot remember the Ling incident exactly, but I think Mooney may be in trouble. It wasnt much, but the way the tribunal system is going at the moment, he might get a week.

If Kerr could argue himself down to one so can Moons. I didn't see the Ling one - was it him lifting the arm on Lade?

Scarlett may be in trouble too if they choose to look at his little rib tickler that gave away the 50 to Tredrea a little more closely.

I don't know that Mooney will go, it wasn't high, it was of low force (great dive), it was in play, albeit late. 50 metre penalty definitely, not much else though.

Scarlett should be right, no force there

Apparently Ling is in a bit of trouble.

What is the Ling report ?
Commetti made mention of it at the end of the game.

The player that will get a few weeks is Daryl 'Nightlight' Wakelin. He headbutted Bartel just before 1/2 time. There's clear vision of it.

His sort of injured anyways so yeah.
Jess, that shouldnt have anything to do with it. I would still rather a 75% fit Mooney in than no Mooney at all.

I dont think any of them will be suspended due to the fact Port took more dives then the Italian soccer team.

Mooney:

Reckless conduct (two points), low impact (one point), in play (no points) and body contact (one points). Four activation points - level one offence drawing 75 demerit points.

How does his suspension from earlier in the year impact on this?

I think he has 4 matches suspended as a bad record which increases the penalty by 30% to 97.5 points. Then I think he has 21.88 residual points from the Holland headbutt which would take him to 119.38 activation points.

With a guilty plea, this would be reduced to 89.535 points and a reprimand.

Thoughts? Have I got these calculations right?

Yeah saw that one too. Maybe Wakes was getting inspiration from the World Cup there ;)

IF Mooney goes for that ****, well... i wouldnt be surprised really.

Let's face it, the way the tribunal is they could get anything - I'm still trying to get over how Kerr managed to get his charge downgraded to 'reckless' from 'intentional'...by admiting he had deliberately punched the player. It would take a special kind of stupid to buy that argument.

Well done today you guys outplayed us for a few minutes in the last quarter & we couldn't manage to get those goals back, so anyway good luck for the rest of the year :thumbsu:
On topic yeah you really have to wonder what goes through Mooney's head sometimes as he does stupid things far too often. As for Ling i'm sure he was reported for striking but i can't remember which player he allegedly hit, possibly Burgoyne?

Does it still work like that when a players gets reported during the game? If he's found guilty at the tribunal isn't the penalty then handed down (ie. how things were done in the days before the Match Review Panel)?

Yeah, i thought he had gone past his brain lapse days........very annoying, i forgot that a report means an automatic 50m penalty.....didn't realise that was the rule.

Anyway, they showed a bit of the Ling incident on the news and if he gets anything for that the tribunal is surely a disgrace...should be thrown out.
