Fahour is big-time. He's CEO and Executive Director of NAB Australia. Forget "multi-million dollar company"... this is a company that has multi-BILLION dollar profits every year. He's all of 41 years old, I believe, too, so I think it's fair to say he's an "over-achiever".

The highly-regarded Mr Fahour became NAB's CEO in 2004 when the bank was on its knees and is credited with turning the company around.

Sources said his No. 1 priority would remain with the bank but that Carlton could expect to benefit from his powerful business network that includes billionaire casino mogul James Packer.

His appointment will also be welcomed at AFL headquarters. Mr Fahour has struck up a close working relationship with league boss Andrew Demetriou on the back of NAB's $20 million, five-year AFL sponsorship deal.

So tell me, who will be leading who? The AFL or Carlton? When our future president controlls the AFL's major sponorship deal. Will AD stand in our way of future developments to our brand? With the fantastic ground work established by Pratt, Fahour could very easily build upon it and secure our long term financial strength.

Geez, that would be a fantastic coup by the Blues. Certainly talking the top end of town, not a 2 bit operator, and coming from banking he would bring a strong compliance background (not having a go here just stating that the due diligence would be first rate and not able to be questioned).
