I dont know if anyone realises, but the last time these two met in the finals the pies were massive favourites, probably thinking about the semi final week already, yet the bulldogs, a side that just scraped into september were the winners on the day, 41 point winners.

Any body remember this?
You mean 4 years ago with two very different sides? Yeah, didn't West Coast win the premiership that year? Dynasty and all that.. Times have changed. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of the supporters who are already looking to the Prelim and I rate the doggies as a massive threat, but you can hardly draw comparison with that game.

Yep and that year we finished 5th after finishing 15th the previous season but this year is much different to that year we have just finished 1st and will have a good squad to pick our team from while on the other hand you guys are losing key players everyweek to injury. I am not saying we will beat you for sure but we are in a much better position to win on Saturday then the 05 Elimination final.

Yes, I remember it well. The Dogs started the week $2.85 outsiders, come Friday afternoon you were into $2.10. By Sunday it was a toss of the coin and it landed the right way for you guys.

BTW, crowd was 84000 that day, fingers crossed for a crowd just like that Saturday night.

Don't you think the Dogs so called injury crisis is overblown??

They are missing 2 players for certain..albeit a brownlow medalist and a very good backman. All others is just speculation.

We may be missing probably the 3rd best key defender in the game.

Hardly a huge advantage to us.

Either way, we've beaten them twice this year on their own deck convincingly albeit closer scoreline 2nd time around, then the way the game actually went.

If we are on with our defensive pressure, we'll win no matter who plays or not.

Cooney is their best player.

Morris is a solid B to borderline A Grader. He takes the number 1 forward & allows Lake to be unaccountable. A bit like making Maxwell accountable rather than a 3rd tall.

Griffen is their X Factor in September. Huge losses.

the smart money is on a big Carringbush win Sat night. upsets happen but you guys are playing great team driven football, not relying on stars just great teamwork. Having said that a wet and windy night brings you down a notch closer to our injury riddled rabble. Addison, Picken and Cross will lap up the shit weather.

He's just blowing sunshine up their arse, don't take it to heart. Saturday night is a shot at a prelim and whoever we put on the park will come out breathing fire. It will be a lot closer than people think.

Hardly. Just calling it as I see it.

If you can find anything in my post that is factually incorrect then please, by all means, refute those claims with a counter arguement. Sadly, I think you will be left wanting.

The only thing that is going to work in our favour is the weather, if it's wet and wild then it may even it up some.

Hudson (in particular), Cross, Boyd, Ward, Picken, Harbrow will like the wet. Addison maybe but I don't think he should be in the team anyway so that's a long bow to draw

Griffen has also been our best & most consistent performer in finals over the past 4 years.
