More Bulldog Injuries

The muppets on their board actually think the VFA flags are equal to VFL ones.

Poor, sad minnows.
Yeah I know, I got in an argument on the main board over that, it astounded me that anyone in their right mind would believe that.

Then it hit me, they are Bulldogs supporters, when it comes to Collingwood, they never respond like a person in their "right mind".

It will hurt them deep into their soul to not only lose to Collingwood in a final, to not only lose to us for the 3rd time in one season, but to also watch us bounce forward towards a that long awaited premiership that they have so well failed at achieving.

Final siren, about 10.00pm on Saturday night, will be one of the most enjoyable wins I have experienced as a Collingwood supporter, and it has more to do with the supporters of said opponent then anything else.

You know, I get a de je vue feeling reading these posts, hmm I think it reminds me of the Saints fans ala 2009, or no maybe it was the Geelong fans 2008;)

Déjà vu.

What's that? A Collingwood supporter correcting a Bulldog fan's poor French?

Every ****ing team has said that about us all year, "reminds me of <insert team> last week before we smashed them". Couldn't give a shit bullflogs, hasn't stopped us smashing every other team this year.

Well actually our supporters were there in force, it was the supporters from the big 4 club:rolleyes: that didn't bother to turn up. We had more at our home game against Fremantle than that sorry lot.

You lost to both

I bet you would sacrifice your left nut to experience this feeling about your own club.

Absolute rubbish. Supreme confidence is what you should have.

We are like stale buscuits at the moment, we crumble at the first hint of contact. We're slow, many of our players are underdone and our confidence is shot to pieces. We don't tackle and part like the red sea when real pressure is applied.

It will be a matter of how much on Sat night. Your team is playing some of the best footy I've seen in a while and it's a pleasure to watch. Tough, hard, relentless and uncomprimising pressure defensively, something we can only dream of. The way you help each other on the field is quite inspirational, 22 contributors every week.

Enjoy your ride, we are simply a witches hat on your way to a grand final.

If we were in the form of 3 weeks ago, I'd agree with you. In fact, I'd be tipping a 15 goal victory. I mean, we beat you by 6 goals in Round 1 and we have been better lately than we were then, and you were FAR better then than you are now.

So, in form, we would smash you. But we're not in great form.

As long as Eade doesn't make the same mistake AGAIN, and carry half injured or injured players into the game.

I have a feeling if you guys carry Johnson in again, you'll more than likely lose. He's a liability, the coaching staff just don't know it yet.

Disgusting :thumbsd: Some "supporter" you are.

As for the game on Saturday night, I would hope most of you dont just expect to smash us by 100 points. We may have injuries, but to make the top 4 requires a fair bit of skill. Stranger things have happened.
To those of you who dont have your head up your arse, good luck for the game on saturday. Dont expect things to come easy for you.

Not that it necessarily applies to you guys this year, but Collingwood tripped over and fell into the top 4 in 2002 with 13 wins. 13.

Just saying. SOMETIMES, the Top 2 can be a fair bit ahead of the rest. Not saying that's the case THIS year, but I'm just saying.

He's just blowing sunshine up their arse, don't take it to heart. Saturday night is a shot at a prelim and whoever we put on the park will come out breathing fire. It will be a lot closer than people think.

Haven't seen the Saints supporters have ya?

Agree with this, Rougy is out for us as well. Though Minson has been playing well in the 2's so we should be able to cover him.

Brad Johnson is a 50-50 chance to play, hopefully he plays for oursake.

If you take today's comments from Rodney Eade at face value, then Griffen, Johnson and a few others won't play.

The Western Bulldogs will not take any player into the AFL finals who is not 100 per cent fit, despite grappling with a long injury list.
Bulldogs coach Rodney Eade also says that, while the club have a double chance, they are desperate to win Saturday's qualifying final against Collingwood at the MCG to allow an extra week's recovery time.

I call bullshit, every club this weekend will take at least a few players in that are less then 100% fit.

The same Rodney Eade that said one week out from the season that Johnson deffinitely wont play against us in round 1 and on the Thursday was picked in the side. This bloke cant be trusted and I think Griffin will deffs play.

Bulldogs took Johnson into Round 1 for 'motivation' over Collingwood. This is a final.

Johnson, Griffen, Cooney and Morris will all play. It's the Bulldog way.

I think while the Dogs usually risk more players then most, it's the "AFL way" more then anything, especially in big games (round 1, finals, blockbusters).

Most sides see a 70% fit "star" as a better option then an inexperienced or vastly under talented player, yet this usually gets exploited.

If Presti isn't about 90% right by gametime this week, we shouldn't risk him, Presti not being there will most likely not be the difference IMO, and if it turns out that it is the difference, then we simply aren't good enough anyway.

We have a more then capable backup in Nathan Brown for Presti, yes, he isn't in Presti's "stopping class", but he has more chance on a "bull" like Hall then he did on a "freak" like Buddy.

Simply put, if you aren't fit, I don't want to see you in a black and white jumper this week, I've seen it backfire too often in the past (Swan and Davis in last years finals is a prime example).

Wow it will be absolutly amazing if you lose, you probably wont but it will be AMAZING, cockyest bunch of people Ive ever seen!

so you just said we probably wont lose yet when Collingwood fans say and act like we will win we are cocky?

I dont know if anyone realises, but the last time these two met in the finals the pies were massive favourites, probably thinking about the semi final week already, yet the bulldogs, a side that just scraped into september were the winners on the day, 41 point winners.

Any body remember this?
