Looking at both teams this week its interesting to note how small Richmond has gone in.
I have it on good authority from Coburg player that Richmond plans to make the game as uncontested as possible and just run run and run with link up play.
They know that they cant win a contested game and plan to attack us with waves of runners, the guy told me that that is where we are vunerable and i somewhat agree even though i think we will win.

We look to have gone in very tall compared to their team and this is a real danger game i reckon and the boys had better be switched right on.

They skill need good skils as danielnajdek pointed out. We've gone in taller than Richmond, but we're not top heavy.

They also need to win the ball in the first place as well.

They would run out of that run after one quarter if they really intend to play this way, so I wouldn't worry. And when Jake King and the midget patrol are poorly kicking around to each other constantly we should be able to get many goals from turnovers.

Dont underestimate them guys, Richmond can cause us issues, they plan to run the ball and i guarantee they will have a shitload of handball receives this game.

If this is the case, maybe one lat change may improve our ability to run with them.

If we rest Maxwell for one more week, and bring Buckley in, it would counter their gameplan somewhat.

I'm not too concerned, seems like there will be a little bit of rain and wind around tomorrow, making it more of a "scrimmage" type match.

My apologies if my arrogance offends you, but I would suggest they should be far more concerned on matching up on us, then us on them.

I agree

Before any running game can start, you need to win the stoppage, and if you win the stoppage you have to be skillful enough to continually hit target. I would worry about richmonds ability to do either against us especially minus cotchin and foley

Never under estimate your enemy

If we dont today then we will thrash them

Not a bad tactic, Dees made us look silly a few times this year in the same fashion. Remains to be seen if Tiges can get out of our full court press though.

Interesting stat from the last 4 weeks suggests that Richmond are on top of the comp for centre clearances! Surprising, yes? May be skewed slightly in comparison to the teams they've played but interesting nonetheless.

However they're also second-worse for clangers :D

Seems a strange strategy given our foot skills are generally terrible and contested footy is the clubs strength. If we go in trying to play uncontested footy with King, Nahas, White, Rance, Polo and Farmer were gonna get murdered.

Pies to win by 114.:(

i agree.. need to be on guard today and not treat them lightly...

having said that i think the glove will hold jumping jack to no more than 2 goals today.. this equals pies win
