It's five weeks in and it'll give you something to think about as you watch Saturday's game as well. (or maybe not)

The question - who has shown the most improvement so far at the club this year... (Not including guys who haven't played in the seniors I know a lot of you get out to Box Hill)

My nomination would be Lance Picione. Granted he has not set the world on fire but he has been good, consistent and was missed when he went off against Brisbane and the week after when not there. For me No.1 so far in improvement. If you took out Crawford he hasn't been that far off our other best players and at the moment would be a wlak up start each week.

Honourable mention to Chance Bateman... a man I would not have cared if they delisted last year. (I understand he had personal things out of his control but he wasn't getting a look in) Really has stood out with his willingness to get to to the ball first and attack it. He is better than I thought he could be and every week seems to be growing in confidence and the belief he can beat his opponent.

Anyway they would be mine so far what do you guys think?

No problems here with your two nominations. Both boys are hard workers: the best type of footballer in my opinion. Guys that have to work hard tend not to take things for granted and tend to continue to improve themselves. I'd give the gong to Lance: he could be the missing grunt in the midfield. Changa is going to be a very solid player: never a key position but giving his all much like his coach did in his day.

This might sound a little bias, but im gonna nominate Vanders.
He played well the second half of last year, but i just tihnk hes improved heaps this year, especially with his fitness and stuff.

Nah, i vote Chance Bateman, but Vanders has improved!! :p

If it's improvement on last year, then what about Shane Crawford ?
His first four and a half games until being injured last week were all sensational.

Vanders if you want Vanders... then I'll take Lekkas for the same reasons although I will say 5 years ago he was on fire, he has improved on anything he has done while under Schwab.

Nick Ries well not for the most improved as he was really unseen but smart footballer. Not an athlete like a lot of our team but a footballer. In the centre early he was as good as any in clearing it over the past few years, if he can improve or consolidate that I will be very happy.
