This thread is relating to the "organic growth" the club has been proclaiming since the mis-fired Gibbs deal. With our current position, there is no doubt we have internally improved across the entire board, both with the up-and-comers as well as some of the senior players.
The question is, who has been our biggest representation of "organic growth"?

Yeah, Jake Kelly - though i always thought he was better than he was given credit for

Thor, but can he be most improved if he didn't play last year?
Absolutely... like if I came from walking round the block this year with my dog, to next year playing for the Crows - even if I'm not that good, I expect to get most improved!

Greenwood came from being an OK SANFL player, to me thinking he'll be a genuine gun.

My three

Kelly, I got shot down a few weeks ago saying Kelly is about 70% as good as Lever. Last two weeks he has shown why I feel that.

Greenwood, A contested beast. Showed signs of this in SANFL Finals. Great to see his game translate to AFL level.

M Crouch. Was a good mid last year. Borderline elite mid this year.

Averaging over 32 posessions. Got 7 Brownlow votes last year averaging 28 or so... will look into betting on him tonight

Kelly, Thor, Mcrouch all significant improvers...

Kelly gets it just over Thor for me... thought he was on the way out early this year... now looks at home and a walk up starter.

Ditto ... and that 70% shooting was partly my doing - I threw out the number and you copped most the bullets :-)

Difficult to vote since I'm not really sure what "most improved" means in the context of players who had never played a game before. I mean, Greenwood going from not playing a match to being a dominant clearance midfielder is obviously a massive improvement, but how does it compare to Matt Crouch going from a wayward accumulator to elite midfielder? Or Jake Kelly going from depth at best to one of our most reliable players.

This is my roundabout way of saying I hedged my bets and chose three players :p

If m crouch improves further.. he'd be the best inside player in the comp. ave 32 a week.. that's massive. Already elite in my books. It's just he's not flashy and we have many other flashier players in our group.
