With so many young players coming into there 2nd, 3rd and 4th preseason, who do you think will take the biggest step on St Kildas list next year?

Acres, Dunstan, Billings or even Newnes?

Tell us what you think.

Go Saints!

Can Billy Longer win it 2 years running?

Ill actually back Lonie in for this. If he starts finding the goals with a little more accuracy he will be a super player.

I really hope Acres will have a breakout year in 2016.

This will be his 3rd preseason and barring injury, I suspect he will given a lot more game time (without any interference from that pesky green vest).

If Round 9 and 10 of this year is indicative of what he's capable of producing, then colour me excited!

I hope it will be one of the blokes who will not be mentioned here.

One of the players that people have written off; a player who they believe will be delisted at the end of 2016. Or if not delisted then someone who most believe will not be part of our next Premiership assault.

Because we know these other kids will improve, and in many cases will be very, very good. Maybe guns. Perhaps elite.

But if one of the unmentioned becomes our most improved then that will be a bonus.

An ABSOLUTE BONUS :):thumbsu:

I'd say the player who won this last year would be Dylan Roberton, after his horrid 2014. I'd like to see a similar meteoric rise by somebody totally unexpected.

(yes, notwithstanding he had had a great 2013, you know what I mean)

I didn't see Bruce doing it this year, even Roberton would have been on borderline of delisting if his ankle didn't come up. That said Billings is the guy who is most likely to come on but I'm going to go a bit more left field and say Nathan Wright. Freeman should be a big improver....all he has to do is actually stay on the park to improve.

Probably Billings on sheer class, then Lonie, Sinclair or McKenzie will step up I reckon. Need to see a little more desperation from Acres and was hoping Newnes was going to have a slightly better year than he did. I'm thinking Hickey might have a good 2016, given that talls develop a bit slower

JAKE CARLISLE !! B&F & AA.

Add Freeman/Ross/Acres

And we are rockin n rolling baby!

Yeah, I forgot Ross, I reckon he's right at the point where he could explode. Hickey too.

I'm backing Eli Templeton to return to showing very good form.. 2015 was basicially a write off, didn't look himself at all after that arm injury.

Break out year from him looming I reckon!

Needs to hit up Advanced Hair and get the dreads back ASAP!

I think Murdoch could be that guy - didn't really have a pre season with back issues - probably played without much confidence due to a bad back - I would think it would put you off your game - -- he has a young family and I would think ' making it ' must be pretty important to their future - he is the right size can kick and will be getting to the right age - I hope he can come good

I think Nathan Wright will be ready to cement a place in our best 22 next year. He is seriously quick and explosive. He can break the lines and kick long. He needs to really work on the accuracy of his short to medium length kicking as this is the only real weakness in his game. One more big pre-season will see him come out as one of the strongest and most aggressive players at the club. I think 'ferocious' best sums him up. I would love to see him and Freeman working in tandem as it would change our centre line from one-paced to very very quick. A few of our other wingers/on-ballers are better kicks but they are often second to the ball when an important contested possession is up for grabs, and I think this will be Wright's forte - winning the one-on-ones. Trading or delisting him would be an absolute waste of an untapped talent.

If he can then a even bigger no to tucker for me

I reckon Acres could really step up if he gets an injury free run. If he is able to do that he could have a huge impact.
