at this point do we even have a pick in MSD?
Not at this stage. Fingers crossed we won’t have one or need to use one.

Mid to long term injury. I wouldn’t imagine we’d put him on the inactive list if it’s only a 12 week injury.
What are the rules around it, does the play need to be out for the rest of the season.
I doubt he plays again this yearMid to long term injury. I wouldn’t imagine we’d put him on the inactive list if it’s only a 12 week injury.
I hope we stay the hell away from the MSD. Hosey, Edwards, Dawson, Ham - FFS

Correct about Spicer delist but with Goldstein probably done at the seasons end with doubts over Xerri and Coleman Jones to take 1st ruck could we look at Naismith from Port Melbourne he killed us in the VFL ex Sydney and has AFL experience probably the only concern is his knees .I think if Dawson didn’t get a go with Logue and McKay out then he may aswell pack his bags now as he is not getting a greater opportunity to play.
As for Lowson, we have plenty of small/hybrid forwards who can kick goals like Stepho, Taylor, Curtis, Ford…
What we don’t have is a zippy small forward who can tackle, crumb and apply manic pressure like a Kozzie Pickett.
Spicer is done and is not showing enough by now. Cut our losses with him as he can’t even run down and stick a tackle in wet conditions that should favour him.

What is the best site to find stats on the under 18 comp?
I want to see how Luke Teal went on the weekend.
Coates League App.
But you won’t find how Luke Teal went on there.
He played VFL for Richmond on Friday. He had 14 disposals and 4 marks.
Cheers mate, any notable performances you’ve come across so far this weekend from a msd perspective?
Shaun Mannagh had 24 disposals for Werribee in another BOG performance, but he kicked 0.5 from 7 shots on goal.
Jed Hagan was also impressive in the Port Adelaide Vs the AFL academy game. I thought he should’ve been drafted last year.
A new player who I’ve added to my interest list is Jack Buller from Claremont in the WAFL. 199cm & 99kg. Kicked 4.2 from 22 disposals and 14
Marks. He is only 21, but has had a few
Injury concerns in the past.
Sam Gilbey continued his comeback from a broken leg. Played WAFL reserves and had 20 disposals and 7 marks. Looked a class above especially with his kicking. Hoping he’ll get to play seniors soon.
I’ve just had a read of Bullers stats, sounds interesting.
Any key position depth we can add would be a bonus.
I think Ryan Maric will be a hot commodity, going at about 15 touches and a couple goals a game in the Coates league as a 193cm forward type.
A couple of the overage rucks in Clay Tucker and Flynn Riley might also attract interest at 204cm and 206cm respectively and being 2 of the better performing Coates league rucks.
Thoughts on Samuel Stubbs? Although freo might pick him upAt this early stage I think Shaun Mannagh would be my ideal pick in the MSD. Small forward who has natural goal sense and footy IQ but also has the ability to push up the ground to play in the midfield or a wing. Has solid running capacity. He is currently averaging 31.7 disposals, 4.5 goals, 5 marks and 7 tackles per game.
Ryley Stoddart would probably be next. 186cm Left footed half back/wing who is playing for Frankston. Spent time on Sydney's list. Fantastic athlete, he is currently averaging 27.3 disposals, 6.3 marks and 2 tackles per game. Looks to have matured physically over the past few years which is why his game is improving so much. Still only 23 years of age.

Hmm yeah, I think it had something to do with his fitness, would be good if we needed a med forward that can hit the scoreboard but we really need that pressure forward that can tackle lolDon’t know a great deal about him, done the pre-season with Freo but they chose to leave a list spot open instead of picking him up. Looking purely at stats from his first few WAFL games this year it isn’t anything overly impressive.
If we are in the bottom 4 come MSD, I can't see how the club can simply pass up a MSD pick.
We aren't in the position to be overlooking free shots at the MSD.
We will have to engineer a list spot, which will be the most interesting viewing how we go about that.
A possibility would be Shiels retiring mid season imo....
Or even "deactivating" someone like Edwards somehow.
Whilst it's not a hotbed of superstars:
Newcombe, Ash Johnson, Durham, Moyle, Sharman, McEntee, Culley, D'Ambrosio, Blanck
Have all come out of it in only 2 years.
