Ryan Maric has some really good wheels and is quite athletic. Doesn’t really play like a genuine key forward. Kind of like a Mason Wood type who is agile and handy below his knees.

Clay Tucker will definitely be on the radar of many clubs. Heard he added about 6/7kg to his frame during the off season which is pretty impressive.

I also added 6-7 kg to my frame during the offseason. Where are my plaudits?

If we are in the bottom 4 come MSD, I can't see how the club can simply pass up a MSD pick.

We aren't in the position to be overlooking free shots at the MSD.

We will have to engineer a list spot, which will be the most interesting viewing how we go about that.

A possibility would be Shiels retiring mid season imo....

Or even "deactivating" someone like Edwards somehow.

Whilst it's not a hotbed of superstars:

Newcombe, Ash Johnson, Durham, Moyle, Sharman, McEntee, Culley, D'Ambrosio, Blanck

Leek Aleer was also eligible for it.

Have all come out of it in only 2 years.

I too hope we don't pass on the next Jed McEntee.

Funnily enough, the Mason Wood type is still something we are lacking to push up the ground and control HF for that final good kick inside 50.

The poster referenced him as a reason to why a small forward wasn’t a priority for us.
He’s 18, hasn’t played a game so until he proves himself I don’t think we can bank on him filling a role for us.

MSD picks need to be able to be traded, eg: pies in flag contention might give up a ND pick to move up in the mid season draft and take a ruckman.

Can only help the lower placed sides in a rebuild phase.
