Don't know for certain, but I imagine that he would have in both height and weight. He has had basically a full season to be in the gym. He may still have grown in height because he is only 18/19.

A couple of centimetres aint going to do anything for him now. The kid is a gun, just wait and see what he's going to be like in a few years time!!
haha exactly, a couple of cms won't do much at all, and the chances of having a late growth spurt and gaining 5cms at 18-20 are not good, but not absolutely impossible (hoping to gain a couple of cms in height my self lol). did anybody see fev's comments about murph in the age on sunday?--> fev loves him, voted for him to be in the leadership group at the midway point in 2006, and (read somwhere else), if fev could have any1 kicking the ball on the lead to him, itd be murphy. Murph has never had that problem. You would probably have to stop him overtraining. The kid has a huge future and is a bright hope for us

The fact that the boy models himself on cousins is a great thing. I hope he can mimic Cousins in every way including the brownlow and now a premiership!... in the Blues jumper of course!

I would have to disagree with you on the late growth spurt...McKinleyISgood said:

A late growth spurt of a couple of inches with a lot of gym work is going to actually be a lot more beneficial for Murph than staying around the height that he is. It will give him a lot more stamina especially if he develops in the chest region as well...
The lad is going to be a complete winner for the club for the future
and I think that the engine room is going to be the better for having a in and under ball winner in there.

yeh obviously there are exceptions, but he's not going to grow 4 inches in 12 months, i'd be surprised if he'l grow another inch - esp now he has been on the weights for probably over a year, weight training at critical growth periods (13-18) usually results in full height potential not being reached,even though in ur case it did.But i could be wrong and it sure would be awesome if he grew 4 inches and could dominate even more. he's not too badly built for a first year player though eh, wonder how long until he can get back into the gym. does anyone know if he can do fitness and leg weights or do they try limit any movement with his type of injury? (but being the off season i imagine like any 18-19 yr old he'l just be having fun at the moment)

his shoulder was good enough to start full training at about round 21. the club didnt want to risk him cause he could have played the last 1-2 games. he will have a full pre-season i guarentee that and ready for a AA season in 2007 (wishful thinking i know)
