I can think of many professions where that would not be the case. Any position that comes with a requirement of trust and responsibility becomes a problem for someone with a criminal sentence hanging over their head. While football is not a profession that would normally require the degree of trust that a police officer, teacher, lawyer etc require, the media attention that comes with it means footballers tend to get treated a little like them.

I don't see a problem with playing him - after all, he would be just doing his job and surely anyone awaiting sentencing should be allowed to pursue their lawful occupation.

well sure, but i also think west coast will want to keep away from the stink of this as much as possible.

playing some guy who's been convicted of GBH and may get put away for up to 2 years is just bad press waiting to happen.

Will be interesting to see what Collingwood do with Marley Williams as well

No way will the eagles play Murray in the nab cup, would not be good for anyone if
Murray loses his cool and smacks someone on the field.

Does he have a history of smacking blokes on the field?

Maybe if one of his opponents has been shagging his ex-girlfriend, it could be an issue...

No history yet thankfully , just don`t see the need to risk playing him until wce know the verdict .

could be a issue if murray gets sledged on this plus the jail thing hanging over him ..

More to the point, does he have a history of actually getting on the field.
He's waste of space that should've been dispensed with some time ago.

Up until midway through last year, yes he did.
Maybe I missed something perhaps you can enlighten me? Whilst you're at it can you tell me what return we have got on our investment in him?

About as much as the average club gets out of the average player in his first two years, ie bugger all.

You apparently missed his 2012 season where he played four senior games, looked a million bucks in one of them (albeit only against Gold Coast) and had a decent year with Swans

Brownlow of GTFO!

But seriously, he's the type of player that our team desperately needs. Can get a heap of the ball, inside or out, has good skills and can kick a goal.

Agreed only if he grows up and dedicates himself to his profession and team mates then its all good.
