Any fans/users here of Musashi supplements? What are your thoughts on it and which type of supplements do you use from this brand?

Find them a bit pricey for what they are, can get the same/better products cheaper at any supplement place. They tend to market a lot of crap without a lot of backing behind it.

Didn't rate their flavors either.

It's interesting how gym goers and body builder types tend to go for other brands.

could be the price

Musashi are pretty good for all the ASADA stuff though.

I noticed Carlton football Club switched to Optimum Nutrition from musashi

Musashi is one of the better ones for research
They market a lot of stuff that doesn't have a lot of sound science behind it (mainly their fat burners). But I guess most supp companies do

Musashi just do it on a bigger scale because they're more well known

Yeah their protein and casein is fine, i just find it a bit pricy and don't like their taste

I find name brands over-priced, tend to get bulk supplies from internet suppliers with good reputations (e.g. Bulk Nutrients)

Can't go wrong with bulk nutrients.

I'm impatient so I hate waiting for online orders
Plus last time I ordered from them half the bags were split open and they didn't include the BCAA flavouring

In store all the way for me

o_O

They would refund you for split bags and missing stock.

Enjoy being ripped off with your brand name in store supps tho :thumbsu:

They did, does that make it less of a hassle? Meant instead of having the product when I expected I had to go out after I got my refund and get more

In store is convenient and I can try shit before I spend my money, so I actually know I'll enjoy it.

Lol @ condescension for not liking a brand. It's not a personal insult mate

I suppose one bad experience can tarnish a reputation. I think I had one order where they left an item off and try expressed posted it to me. I always order when I'm 1-2 weeks left of supps, so waiting isn't an issue.

do you make up your own mixes?

What do you mean by "own mixes"...?

The only thing I don't buy from
Bulknutrients is pre work out, I used different brands each time.

I will add in BCAAs with my pre work out. Then will add in creatine and glutamine with WPI as my post work out shake.

Yeah. It wasn't even a main issue, I just prefer to be able to get it in store, try stuff out. If you go to actual decent places you get good advice/recommendations. Would never have found the pre workout I'm on now

I'm yet to meet a supplement store employee that isn't
a)stupid
b)peddling whatever shit gets him the best commission
c)fully fledged brofessor of broscience
d)all of the above

Proceed with caution is all I would suggest, you will get much better advice from these boards than from anyone in a supplement store.

lol... so true

though the girl at the GNC I went to last week was so hot that I almost bought something at around twice the price than online stores.

I'm aware. I don't buy shit without researching it mate

I've known one of the guys since well before he started there, and the place doesn't pay on commission

its true for GNC. I go to nutrition warehouse. Know two of the guys that work there. Can't paint all of them with the same brush

I had one bag of creatine with a small tear in it once, about 3 years ago.
They replaced the whole bag then threw in 250g of creatine for my next order. I'm happy with them.

they did expose the ash/milk powder in protein scam too by offering free protein testing kits a while back. Shut down a few of the dodgy online players.

I add BCAAs to my water during my workout, although I work out in the morning and only have a coffee as my PWO

Yeah it's more the hassle of having to wait again for the new product to be delivered. Plus as I said I don't rate the flavor (not that important, i'm just superficial)

It's more convenience for me, I can stop on the way home from work, browse and get what I want on the spot
