NAB Challenge 2016

The lack of intensity, composure and effort in quarters 2 and 3 was a real worry.

Cole was the best of our new recruits though Snadden was in the mix but on very few minutes.
Some of our senior players like Schofield, Yeo, Ellis and Shepherd went missing and did dumb things. Pity they were not strong enough leaders but should not be an issue when our best return. More from this crew would of given more confidence to the youngsters.
Brown was OK but movement looked good.
Duggan was horribly rusty. Good to get out of system.
Jetta - as expected given how the game went. He is the icing and not the cake. Will hopefully be better when we have players to give him the ball.

Karpany, Lucas and Colledge are robbing the WCE payroll department. The sooner these three are off our list the better.

Adamson was good at times though Brophy looked like he hadn't mastered the game.

I like the kid. Was really into him pre the draft and when we went for Mutimer at our 3rd pick I was a bit bummed thinking we'd missed our chance, due to the club saying they would only use three picks. Sure enough we used a fourth pick on Allan and I for one couldn't have been happier.

Already a good size and has experience against at SANFL Reserves level. Will enjoy watching hos development just hope it continues as a tall forward and not as a Bontempelli or Cripps sized midfielder which has been mentioned.

I liked the look of him, do you think he's capable of holding down FF or CHF in the future, or more of the third tall type?

Like I said mate the issue today was the lack of inside players. Criticizing Jetta today is akin to having a go at a FF who doesn't touch it when the ball isn't down there much. He'll be better when the inside grunts are in there feeding it out to him.

I'm reliably told by my purple loving friend that Taberner, Hannath and Apeness are guns and are going to dominate the league one day. Of course he's told me that the last 3 seasons or so, still waiting for just one of them to step up.

Hopefully a FF. That's my end goal for him, also because he haven't had to many left footed full forwards since Suma haha. By the sounds of things has the engine and skills to play midfield also but all I've seen makes me want to turn him into a forward. Good set of hands, good approach on goal and a sound kick

Looks too short to be FF. Will obviously fill out in the future but height wise a lot of the better defenders will have him covered.

Not a big wrap for Hannath and Apeness yet through lack of exposure but I like Taberner. Never going to a traditional power forward like for instance Hogan but worth persisting with as a taller lead up forward to hit the wings and double back on his opponent inside 50. Athletic ability in him is massive and he can cause headaches for defenders with that athleticism.

If they're successful in obtaining McCarthy, Taberner would be the guy to suffer but.

A contracted ruck for an uncontacted player if I recall correctly, I did smack my head on the desk trying to figure out his Sydney got away with that robbery so my memory is fuzzy.

Height is advantageous yeh but not the overall be all and end all. Right now according to the record he is only a centimetre shorter than Walker, a centimetre taller than Pavlich, 2 cemtimetres taller than Darling and the same height as Gunston.
