One thing about this weeks game compared to last week, we have no one of the Ilk of Priddis. If he goes down then there goes our season, I hope we can find someone close to his extraction abilities in the next few years but seriously Matty is the grunt of the Eagles and the beginning of most of our forays forward from stoppages.
Do you forget that the finals game we played against the Hawks at Subi last year that Priddis did not play, and the Eagles won well without him, so think players can step up when he is unable to play. Maybe Sheed is the one and don't think he played today - still coming back from injury?

Played in a hurricane and won no major catastrophic injuries and looks good in the last quarter, Played with no structure or game plans on a ground the size of a 50 cent coin

It would still be nice to have a backup that is AS good as Priddis in this department. I don't think there are any other Eagles as good as him. Close, but not as good. :)

Has someone let Pat Footy know? Seems like the kind of information he'd want to be notified about.

does anyone have a clue about the severity of Jetta's injury. I saw glimpse of him in the first half and i now agree with the clubs choice to go after him. We finally have a player that can cut a side open.

I was a bit disappointed in Cripps and Duggan today. They are both really good decision makers normally and I thought today they just rushed it and made poor decisions more often than not. They still worked relatively hard but I just didn't see the class I'd expect from them.

I saw enough of Jetta today to get excited about him. Most importantly he was out of the blocks fast today. If he can get going that quickly in the regular season, when our midfield and game strategy are operating as they should be then I think his output will be great for us.

I reckon we're not alone in wanting a Brownlow calibre player as backup to a Brownlow medalist...

I only had 1 calf injury when i was playing but it was down really low like jetta's looked to be and i missed 3 games and didnt feel 100% for about 5 weeks. Hopefully his is minor.
That sucks. Hopefully its isnt as bad as yours was.

I am more concerned of the likelihood that its something that bothers him moving forward with the chance of recurring. Please be a one off!

Geebus... boys looked like they were playing with saddle weights on...

That game all over was deplorable.

I have more concerns over that game than the adelaide one
Same. Can only hope that it's due to the later start due to the later finish. All of our players have looked a step behind the pace in both games, it's not just a handful.

I think we played against a Rodney Eade game style today that was visually horrible to watch he's finally got arguably the most talented flamboyant list to play a crappy very hard to watch smothering Fremantle like game plan.........3 cheers for the dinosaur !!
