Heart is the most important and a huge equalizer imo

Stood over Daniher and gave him lip for being called HTB against Karps. God i love this kid
Same becoming one of my favs, loved it last year when he was testing Rockliffs ribs out.

We have been missing that mongrel in the team for a long time ever since Waters stopped playing regularly, good to have some aggression back in the team in Nelson and Yeo

He is a no nonsense player and will be an underrated type player. With a more balance defence now, i hope they give him the chance to attack rather than just locking down his opponent. His decsion making and footskills are close to elite and with more exposure at the big time, he will become a weapon off half back.

Was out this arvo so just watched the replay then. Wont buy into the Lamb hype, but to put it into perspective, Lamb has all the potential in the world, give the kid time, no doubt he will be a great player for us. But jesus, Nelson is the one to be excited about. He was composed for 90% of his touches, still needs refining as do most teenages, but he has as much upside for this year as Duggan hands dow. He is a workhorse.

This sounds funny, but the exciting thing about Nelson is how we don't need to get excited about him. He just seems to do most things well, goes about his business and now seems to have a harder edge to his game too. Can be a solid Brad Sewell type and play 200 games for this club!

If I had to compare Brad Sheppard to another player going around now it would have to be Robert Murphy.

Does anybody else see the comparison?
at this stage. murphy is a much better attacking player but shepards a much better lockdown player. can ply from smalls to talls.

Just finished watching it. Probably easier to talk about the guys that didn't have good games. Cripps was quiet but his spot is safe. Lycett I wanted some more from, but was decent. Went forward early and kicked a goal so happy with that.

But the real question from todays game is how much longer can Priddis be played?

Also lol at the graphic of Nelson's draft physical ratings, made him look like the biggest spud around. Unfortunately those things don't measure footy brain and general toughness, where he excels.

One of the commentators basically lol'ed at it and not in so many words said bullshit. Probably Papalia.

Biggest load of horseshit

If today was any guide (it wasn't ) then priddis is getting better as he gets older. He was bordering on dynamic early

Think brad johnson as well. They all had a giggle at it. Sam mitchell and matt priddis are all examples of why those attributes can be overrated and both went late in the draft.

With the exception of some of what Frawley came out with I quite enjoyed the commentary today for the most part

Papalia needs a regular gig, very balanced (as most WA commentators tend to be)

papalia is like hudo and calls the game as it is. It seems like past players just dont know how to commentate. Stepehen quatermaine was another caller i enjoyed listening to.

I dunno, all I remember hearing was "Good set of wheels" repeated every 2 seconds by Johnson.

Papalia kind of reminded me of Clinton Grybas with a little less gravitas when it gets exciting.
Ten really did have a good choice of commentators apart from Robert Walls. Huddo, Quarters and Tim Lane are good play by play

Just looking over the match stats. Yeo played much better than his stats suggested. He needs to become that type of player that gets 25-20 touches a game a game player. I think consistency is one of his biggest weaknesses and i think it will take him a while to be consistent.

Eagles 54 points down vs Geelong...

Steve Quartermaine: "No Judd, no West Coast."

Eagles win.

When Naitanui is firing everyone looks a grade better. I hope he has a mental year.

It's the thing his critics never grasp. Disregard the individual stats we're simply a better functioning team when he fires

Exhibit A

10 possessions, 1 mark, 2 tackles and 1 behind against a retired ruckman. What's not to get excited about hey Barra?

At some point people will learn to look past stats and watch a game with their eyes to gauge the impact players have

Why does he need to do that?
