Can I ask that displays of joy at obtaining NAB Cup tix and the fact that you are down to x number of days left to see our beloved Dockers play are kept to a dull roar?

I'll be in the air for the entire game after a very busy 24 hours in Sydney.

I didn't think I'd mind missing the game, but now that it's getting closer, I am having doubts.

Its only pre-season not rd 1 season opener.I'm starting to think it was a bad move going to watch the game.It might make the wait for round 1 harder

There are always a few talking points each week even during the NAB Cup. The gap between February 25th and March 31st will fly by.

I nicked off for a 6 week holiday before the regular season last year and ended up in a warsaw internet cafe listening to live streaming of the game against Collingwood. Now that's sad. :o

Still good fun to watch though, you can't not go if you're not doing anything.

I think the talking about the game in the days following is what I'm going to miss most. The sad thing is my only exposure to this game will be through Perth's questionable media outlets.

I spent 6 weeks away during last season. One of the games I missed was the first Derby and again I was on a plane for the entire match.

Maybe it's a sign, I've missed a few matches whilst flying, all of which we've won.

Missing regular season games is not forgivable unless it's a family tragedy or girls are involved.

Ha, I will be on a plane back from Sydney during that match too..I originally had planned to get the flight back and high-tail it to the ground but I got stuck on the later flight so it will be all over when i get in. And I miss the intraclub match tonight, not to mention the first match of the season. All because of work. Terrible, terrible timing.
