Hey guys, I love the kid and hope he can play consistently in the side. Just wondering what happens when Johnson gets back. Does Nahas go back on the rookie list and can't play for the seniors? The whole thing's a bit confusing:confused:

Kane Johnson is out long term then I believe in 2H of season. a new rule allows for rookies to be upgraded to play

**** Johnson. he should retire. If he and his old mates showed some ticker like Nahas on Saturday this club wouldn't be where it is today.

Fingers crossed we have seen the last of Johnson:thumbsu:

I'm not sure, it would be a setback for us I feel, is Kane Johnson in our Best 22?

I think he would be borderline. Not sure he'd fit the mix any longer.

Personally there are a few other players i'd prefer in the side before Johnno.

Cogs, Cotch, Cuz, even Raines and then Thursty also....

Then the Rookies!

Johnno will likely spend most of the year in the 2's, unless we suffer a heap of injuries... hope Nahas doesn't go back to the Rookie List....

yeah johnson shouldnt' come back into the team.

i also hate the fact that the club is wanting to play richo against sydney this week, and also considering cousins. they go too far sometimes, stop trying so hard, just play the kids and let richo rest up his behind

The kid is a great find. Heart and ability. Part of the future and doing enough to be in the 22 in the present.

It should be the oldsters justifying why they deserve a place instead of the kids rather than vice versa. Nahas wants to play. That is obvious. Let the kid play.

The thing is also that enthusiastic youngsters like Nahas lift players around them due to their tenacity and endeavour. Even as a supporter you get more excited when a rookie does something special.

I think Nahas is safe for now, half decent performances in the AFL and good solid performances at VFL level.

big question is Andrew Browne, haven't heard a peep about him since his debut, what happened to the big fella

Saw him at Box Hill last week.
Andrew Browne = John Ironmonger on Valium.
And makes Josh Fraser look like Usain Bolt!

nahas definatly keep his spot in the forward line, the missing link we need, theres another 5 blokes or so thats spot is less assured from last weekend that nahas.

He's back on the rookie list now Petts is back.

playes like Robin keep you in the match when the shit is hitting the fan. His first half last week is a glaring example of why players like him are super improtant when its all about holding the fort, when its under siege. The game has evolved to the point where more often than not, a team will make surges and when they do its all about stemming the tide. We did and it was on the back of Robin's and a few others work rate. ;)

Won't survive at AFL level being 67kg, might be acceptable for VFL but not AFL. Challange for him is to put on 5-10kgs over the next year or two.

What is acceptable is performances like saturday night, whether or not he remains at his weight or not means JS in the overall context of his career.;)

Very deluded statement. Let's be realistic, North offered little resistance last week and they were shocking. Nahas was good but when he has shown already he can be pushed around very easily in some of his games. To say his weight means jack s**t in the context of his career is hilarious, especially when he's 67kg. Packing on 5-10kg will make him a much a better asset.
