With the departure of someone to Moggs, name your 8 midfielders, including the ruckman in your best 22. ie. 6 on-field + 2 bench players.

Mine:
R: Jacobs, B Crouch, Sloane
C: Smith, Thompson, Douglas
I: M Crouch, Ellis-Yolmen

Apologies to Hampton - won't let me add him...

My top 8

R: Jacobs, B Crouch, Sloane
C: Grigg, Thompson, Douglas
I: M Crouch, Knight

I'd have CEY on the bench as well and rotate Knight, Grigg, CEY, Sloane and M Crouch through half-back and half-forward.
I'd like to find room for Milera in there, but think we'll have one tall on the bench.

C Knight Thompson Seedsman
1R Jacobs B Crouch Sloane
I/C M Crouch Douglas Milera

# would be happy to have smith on wing and seed at hb but starting as above
# some speed on the wings and running power in knight to defend the uncontested ball
# Milera to spend time forward and wing
# Douglas rotate through Central midfield and forward
# M Crouch B Crouch and thommo rotating through IC

C. Knight Sloane Douglas
R. Jacobs Thompson BCrouch
Ic. CEY, Grigg/MCrouch

Knights game last year against the dogs in the e/f was a blinder. He will be a very, very good player.
Cey needs to be in the team. He has a cool head under pressure and makes the game slow down around him usually making a good decision by hand or foot. Plus can take a grab and lay plenty of tackles with his big body.
Brad Crouch is the one we need to come good and get over his injuries. This bloke is a jet and injury free could be a genuine all australian.
The last spot goes to either grigg or mcrouch. I like both of them but unless thompson needs to be rested or we have an injury i cant fit them in. Maybe taking milera out from the forward line and moving knight there instead. I like how both are left footers something we desperately lack. Both can win their own ball and can rack up big numbers possession wise. Both need breakout years if we are to be a force.

So 2 voters haven't voted for Sauce and nobody's voted for Lowden....pray tell who is going to do the rucking duties...Rory Laird maybe??
Wonder why Reilly O'Brien isn't an option? I guess we don't have any LTIs that would allow us to promote him (which is good).

Still, I would love to see him get a few games maybe later in the year after an impressive season in the seconds last year. Obviously he won't yet replace Jacobs but he might be able to play a few games to give Jacobs a much-needed break.

C: Sloane Douglas Seedsman
R: Jacobs B. Crouch Thompson

Int. C. Ellis-Yolmen M. Crouch

The midfield is probably our least stable line at the moment, though we will know more after a few pre-season games.
I've watched a few games from last season that Cey played in and he gets a go ahead of Grigg for mine, good at stoppages,
has size, pace and tackles really well. Seedsman on the wing due to Smith being better defensively and knight better up forward,
although his spot is probably the most open to who performs best during nab (Atkins, Knight, Hampton etc.). Thompson
is getting on in years but there is no doubting his contested ability even still, should be phased out in the back half of the year or even
managed during to give Lyons, Grigg etc a proper run in the middle. It will be great to finally have the Crouch brothers playing a full senior
game together, AFL look out!

With Sloane, Thommo and the Crouch brothers I think we'll be ok for clearances. Need Knight and Grigg in there for 2 way run and disposal.

Jacobs Thompson B Crouch
Grigg Sloane Knight
Douglas M Crouch

If not B Crouch through injury then CEY

Can't bring myself to select Seedsman yet based on having no idea where he's at.

Milera absolutely belongs in the middle eventually but have no idea if he's ready.

It's hot and I'm too lazy to look it up, but I'm sure they've played together at AFL level for us already a couple of times.
