Competition for spots will be very fierce I'd imagine. The likes of Byrnes, Gardiner, Mackie, and Playfair amongst others will force their way into the side at different points in the season.

*Ricco will find it difficult to hold onto his spot as the year progresses. I expect that come season's end, he will no longer be an automatic choice for selection as he has been the past years with the expected natural progression of our youngsters.

Yes, you would expect that. Does anyone think the club would drop Ricco to the VFL though? Ricco, Ronnie and BG always immune to this in days gone by. Come the second half of next year, I feel we will be saying that he went on a year too long.

Totally disagree with the last this Post

Ricco is still a very handy player with Automatic walk up placing. He is still a power player half way into a QTR. So often this year he has proven the spark required and you cannot afford to have 250 games of experience in the twos with the Class of PR.

Remember the team is still relatively inexperienced games wise and he is a cool head in pressure situations that they learn from.

This (2005) will probably be his last year which I Think is a year too soon.
