Nas won't even nominates a team until the majority of a deal has been brokered. He's too good and too high profile to do otherwise, and if he does leave St Kilda, it's not because of some falling out with the club, but because he wants to be in Adelaide with his family.

Nas' management will know this, and a large part of their job will be making sure that either Adelaide or Port have the assets on the table to make a deal happen. This doesn't necessarily mean fair value, but enough so that Nas is comfortable with his decision and confident he gets to where he wants to go.

Threats of the PSD are irrelevant, and I can only assume that if a teams list management even tried to bring it up, Nas and his team would see it as a slight. I'm sure that Nas is fully aware of what he is worth, and he wouldn't want to see St Kilda and the friends that he has at the club shafted because a list manager wanted to pay funny buggers.

One thing that might back up the Crows for Nas is this.
When Caro trotted out that he wouldn't come to Adelaide because of Tex, not only did his manager come out and say that's not true, but Nas rang Tex personally to tell him that it isn't true.
If he didnt intend to go to Adelaide, why would he make the effort to personally tell Tex that isn't true? That's the kind of thing you do if you want to reassure someone you will be playing with that is isn't true.
Then apparently he has been txting Crows players in a group chat.

Now, wouldn't surprise me if he still did go to Port, but I did think about why he would need to make contact with Tex. If you had no intentions to go to Adelaide, he wouldn't have bothered ringing him and would have just let his manager put the statement out.

What do Adelaide fans think they trade away

Not like it’s easier for Adelaide to do a deal . 2 firsts is crap and I don’t think they will give up better players then Berry/Whitlock themselves.

Unless Saints can talk Soligo into moving I don’t see how it would be worthwhile
Neither Soligo or Rachele would want to leave. Both have signed until 2029, and are best mates who want to play their careers out together.

Berry could be one that could go I would think. St Kilda could target one of the Crows up and coming young players like Nankervis, Butts or Edwards. They would be steak knives, but both have a heap of talent, and if the Crows didnt have such a good run of injuries, they would have got games.

If they were smart they would offer a godfather offer to Worrell or Keane to see if they could be made to follow the money, as they would both be on minimum chips at the moment. If nothing else it would cause the Crows to pay them both more.

Whitlock looking pretty good today. More than just steak knives, in a position St Kilda needs, in any trade for Nas if he was to be included.
Dunno if Port have the capital to get it done unless they are prepared to move Bergman or Butters?

F1 and Whitlock is just not even close imo.

Even if Whitlock is a good prospect its not close enough imo.

"Wanganeen-Milera is not believed to have made a final decision on his playing future"

Although he had stated in the interview with Richo on Friday night that he had talked to his family and manager about the desicion. It felt like he had made a decision on Friday and only his family and manager knew, maybe Saints but that is speculation.

When a big name player leaves it's nearly always to chase success which is why when they nominate their home state they pick the club in the better position 9 times out of 10. Big name players get offered similar money across clubs so the contending team is more attractive. Fringe players chase the money. FA is a bit different but even with that, the big name ones usually end up at a contending team. It's the nature of the beast.

The Crows have always been the logical choice and the longer the season goes the more attractive they've looked. Adelaide is tiny.. if he wants to hang out with his Port mates, hell even possibly live with them, there's nothing stopping him doing that. I've always thought it would be the Crows but I guess time will tell.
