its going to be fascinating how either team gets it done if NAS is in fact going home to SA.

Who is expendable for Adelaide they would be ok with parting ways with? Josh Worral? Josh Rachelle?

What about Port Adelaide? Miles Bergman? Todd Marshall?
If it's the Crows, it's two firsts and a good player who's on the edge of the 22 - Berry, Pedlar, Edwards, Butts, etc.

The Crows aren't trading anyone in their core. No reason someone would leave, unless they want opportunity.

Could St Kilda let Nas live part time in Adelaide and play for them? I know it sounds silly but players get 12 weeks annual leave.
Why does he want to go home anyway?
Or is " going home" really mean something else, like other people wanting/ needing money off him.

Saints can buy Huddo's helicopter from us.

His not going to put himself in the draft his management would know the chances of him getting to a sa club is 0% . A trade gets done or he stays on a short term contract
The outcome will be you guys accepting unders, no matter where he goes. It's ALWAYS the outcome when a player is out of contract.

Not like it’s easier for Adelaide to do a deal . 2 firsts is crap and I don’t think they will give up better players then Berry/Whitlock themselves.

Unless Saints can talk Soligo into moving I don’t see how it would be worthwhile
Two firsts and a player like Berry or Butts is perfectly appropriate for an uncontracted player. Bailey Smith was only one first.

.... Or maybe we should just relocate to Adelaide and he can be close to family AND stay a Saint...

When a big name player leaves it's nearly always to chase success which is why when they nominate their home state they pick the club in the better position 9 times out of 10. Big name players get offered similar money across clubs so the contending team is more attractive. Fringe players chase the money. FA is a bit different but even with that, the big name ones usually end up at a contending team. It's the nature of the beast.

The Crows have always been the logical choice and the longer the season goes the more attractive they've looked. Adelaide is tiny.. if he wants to hang out with his Port mates, hell even possibly live with them, there's nothing stopping him doing that. I've always thought it would be the Crows but I guess time will tell.
Dawson
Rankine

Two recent examples of this not being the case in SA.

NWM reminds me of a young Mickey O. NWM won’t play midfield in a winning side - but when the chips are down, he’s a better X Factor than Butters.
He’s Andrew McLeod V2..
He’s silk.. and clutch.. very fine player..
If the AFL ever want an equitable system NAS should only be able to I want a trade back home (SA) and Saints trade him for the best deal , whether it be crows or power.. Same with Reid, WCE might actually get a good deal if it was open to all Vic clubs.. but instead the lower clubs will always get shafted..

St kilda will not risk him going to the draft which is why they will take the unders deal. The reality is in the draft he can whack a huge price on his head and refuse to talk to clubs-we have seen this movie before. It would be very unusual if after requesting a trade he signed at the 11th hour-i think this is more you guys haven't got to the acceptance stage yet (which i can understand) but its unlikely that happens.

That will never happen because the afl have no balls re the aflpa.
