If Nas chooses The Port Power Football Club, both Bergman and Butters could be in play.
There are strong rumours Bergman has signers regret at the moment, and with Kenny gone, Butters may decide to pull the pin a year early.

I’m sniffing a 3 way trade ,
Dogs trade - 2025 first 2026 first Jamarra
Dogs get - butters
Saints trade - nwm
Santa get - dogs 2025/2026 first Jamarra
Port trade - butters
Port get - nwm
Thoughts ? Probably not good enough for the saints tbh
It's tough for Saints supporters.
Their club really only has the choice of getting nothing or accepting what's offered. An offer doesn't need to be NAS full value by any means, when the alternative is zero.

So you actually agree they might bend the rules?
Yes that's what I said and you agree with me.
they dont have any draft capital mate, think its well in playPort aren't trading Butters.

its going to be fascinating how either team gets it done if NAS is in fact going home to SA.
Who is expendable for Adelaide they would be ok with parting ways with? Josh Worral? Josh Rachelle?
What about Port Adelaide? Miles Bergman? Todd Marshall?
I think youre underselling how steadfast St.Kilda I think will be. We're not talking a bloke who is a top 5 player in the team, we're talking a possible top 5 player in the comp. St.Kilda would want to be fairly compensated. Might not be completely fair, if not overs they want but I dont see it for anything other than a 10 -16 player + first for him. How they get said first will be the fascinating partIt will be picks and bottom end of best 22 players or non best 22 players. This movie has been seen before. St kilda will get below value unfortunately. Clubs won't be forcing players out for him.

Basket case? Bruz stop projecting frSo leave a basket case to go to a team that's lower on the ladder and as much of a basket case.
If he wants out the Crows is his best bet , big payday and a very real shot at a flag.
Port’s GM has said he’s confident they get a deal done.Still think the logical outcome is he signs for two years at Saints.
This gives Port two years to get their ducks in a row and accommodate a reasonable trade.
Otherwise hard to see how Port scramble a deal together that is feasible?
you might want to re-check thatWhilst I agree regarding Butters value, NWM did have 36 touches and kick 2 against Geelong in round 19 and 43 touches Hawthorn in Round 16.
The Saint have had a softer draw this year - courtesy of not playing finals for a while, but you can’t really say he hasn’t performed against top 10 teams.

Agreed, feels like they've played more top 10 teams than most, you might want to re-check that
| ST KILDA | 2024 FINISH fixtures | 2025 REALITY |
| Top 6 | 10 | 10 |
| Mid 6 | 6 | 5 |
| Bottom 6 | 7 | 8 |
They have no choice. No decent players want to go there unless they offer de koning money and because managers have the power now port and Adelaide won't piss them off by trying to offer players that dont want to go. The alternative is the draft. St kilda will have to take what is offered. This is reality. I dont like it but its the system. It will be picks and young ish players that want to go for opportunity it won't be super quality ones.
