last week he had no confidence marking but today he turned it on.

got a good set of hands and like his brother, if he bulks up and has a massive preseason could be a key player in 2008

2-3 days ago, i heard a whisper that they were considering dropping him, and leaving/Bringing back Blake... and to be honest, i would have probably done it myself!

But he turned it on today! :thumbsu: Great Work!

well done to the cats today.......all stood out in a team performance.....a massive performance i might add...........i had a ticket luckily i didnt go......being a non-supporter of both clubs would have been boring after 1/2 time......

Rubbish rumour that SEN put out, like the one last week which said G Ablett would miss against Collingwood.

From what I can gather the rumour was based around the fact that Blake looked happy at training.

Typical of the media this week. They wrote us off at every opportunity.

Well guess what you guys can suck Bomber's premiership medallion!

Nathan is going to be a force someday, I don't care what anyone says. Next year or the year after he is going to absolutely explode and live up to his name just like his older brother is doing now.

I agree whole heartedly to the point i believe he has the ability to play in the midfield ala Goodes. His ball skills especially below his knees are fantastic for his size. All he needs his to do is follow Gaz's lead on increasing his fitness level so that he can run for 100 minutes of a game.

To be fair, every team technically has a weak link, so im fine if Nablett is ours because he can play some excellent football. It would be like saying Black was the weak link in Brisbanes "fab 4" during their flag years, just because he wasnt as good as the others doesnt mean he isnt a notch about the rest.

For the record, i dont think Black was a weak link, that was just an example.

Lifted his game when it mattered most, much like he did in last year's VFL finals series - signs of a big game player.

That one-handed grab in the pocket was sublime.

I think Nathan Ablett has the talent and potential to be a champion. I think the only thing holding him back perhaps may be his attitude. He is probably the only player in the AFL that didn't jump at the opportunity to play in the AFL and that is why he is a bit of a special case. I hope he can get it all together and wouldnt be surprised if in the next couple of years he doesnt blossom into a great player like his older brother. :D

Little Gaz took a few years before he joined the AFL elite. Trust me, even though he's only the Holy Ghost at the moment, Nablett's gonna explode one year. He'll surprise a load of people:thumbsu:

Still, Gaz was pretty close to AA selection last year as a small forward, I think. Chappie was ahead of him (and was dudded by not being picked), but Gaz certainly had a reasonably good year last year. One of only a few.

Don't get me wrong, I love Nathan Ablett but does he have the want and need to become an AFL star like others? He has all the talent to become a superstar but I'm not sure if he'll ever reach his full potential as he doesn't seem to have that same desperation to play AFL like those who have come from grassroots footy and don't have his incredible natural talent. Once he gets that, he will become near unstoppable.

If he bulked up............he would own them.

he will, dont worry. He will get some good iron pumping and some good running done in the pre season and he'll come back lookin in prime shape. He will probably have some sort of surgery done as well as he looked proppy towards the end of the season.

TC:eek:
