On another forum (121sports) speculation was...

Brown may have an issue following his leg surgery. The bone didn't heal properly and there is a residual weakness within the overall cell structure of his leg bone.

If that is the case...he may not play again. A shame ...as he is a talent.

Possibly on CH9 Footy show tonite may be an announcement.

I agree that the club should come clean and tell the truth.

Bottom line is he is close to having a stress fracture in the area just below the break, so yes a weakness. If it does happen it'll be season over for sure so possibly an announcement on that but I don't think Brown will give up altogether yet.

He had the rod out in about September, so he would've still been recovering from that at the Boxing day test.
