Just wondering what everyone is expecting from Nathan in 2009. I thought at times this year he played some really good football. He is never going to hit the heights of before he broke his leg but IMO he is still a star of the competition.

I was over at the bigfooty medal board where they are going a top 50 and was shocked to see that Nathan was trailing Dale Morris is a poll regarding who will be a better player in 2009.

While Morris is a solid player he will never be the matchwinner that Nathan is.

Stats wise his 2008 season was just about identical to Pettifer's 2007 season.
But Brown can turn a game on his head. Similar to the way Nick Davis can and I reckon he'll go in the PSD. Wouldn't mind seeing Brown improve his forward pressure and tackle count. Pettifer averaged nearly 3 this year and Browny 1.7.
An injury free pre-season will help!

Browny isn't going chase hard to make a tackle unfortunately. If he can fire up enough in '09, we will be a good team next year.

I hope we just play him up forward unless we're struggling.

If we can play him close to the goalsquare for the majority of the season ... he will be very dangerous and have a very good year. He isn't bad in the midfield, but is at his best in the forward 50 :thumbsu:
