I personally think he has lost the passion for the game. I think he is happy to play footy to develop his media profile and to develop his outside business interests.

If Brown was 100% serious, he would get out of the media for the rest of the year and concentrate on the footy.

The reality is that for what he is getting paid, we are not getting anywhere near enough output from him.

I have a little story about Nathan Brown. Third hand information, although not all that suprising if its true.

When he was at the Bulldogs, he used to go to a Ford dealer for promotional stuff... or whatever it was, I'm not sure. Anyway, I spoke to the head of the Ford dealer this year and he had spoken to Brown all those years ago. When he asked "Which club do you think you'll be going to" (at this stage no one knew) Brown responded with "Whichever club pays me the most money."

Pretty much says it all, really.

Agree fully there matey.. im all for the funny side of footy and the footy show... but i thought it kinda stank of jealousy also...

But the above post is nothing but rubbish, how can you attack Nathan Brown after everything he has given this rabble of a club over the past years. I would've though it would be smart to have an intrest outside of Football and also to organize his future for the coming years because the way this club is going they will be lucky to be around next week by the way your faithful supporters are carrying on. God help any of the Richmond players if they run into there own during the week, they will be bashed, poked, spat on, rocks thrown at and kicked within a inch of there lives.
Back to N.Brown i would dare to say that Nath's football career has slowly died a slow death due to playing football with the biggest turnover girl guides he has ever played with. Nathan is not far away from walking away from the game due to this football club, i feel very sorry for him. The only 2 players that can hold there heads are Nathan Brown and Matthew Richardson, the rest might as well tie a brick around there neck and jump off the West Gate Bridge that goes for Terry Wallet as well. This guy could not get a dog to sit for him let alone a football team to carry out his shocking team plan.

I had come to the richmond site to start a thread on this very topic. For me Brown has really lost something. And for all the money he must be getting from Richmond, you'd think he would be keen to put back in?

I saw a fair bit of the game, but not all. On another thread somewhere it was said that Brown ducked his head a few times. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I didn't see it, but I didn't see the whole game. I'm wondering what Tigers supporters think about this?

Weird thing is I used to rate McMahon when he was at the Bulldogs and thought that Richmond had done well in getting him. Bulldogs must've known something others didn't, coz he has been disappointing, to say the least. Like you said, he's not on his Pat Malone on that score.

Browny's not playing beneath himself. He's playing FOR himself. He's washed up and needs to be capuanoed sooner rather than later. I'd rather have someone like edwards continuing to get game time. At least there's hope for improvement rather than playing a senior guy who just loves watching the clouds roll by during a game.
