I wouldn't be surprised if the trip to Germany was just for reassurance, a bit of a magic feather. Get the leading world experts saying, "Don't vorry, Mr Freeman, ssere iss nutting vrong viss your hamstrings now. Nein! All iss gut! You can play viss soze Aussie balls now, ya?" That may be all he needed to give him the confidence to continue in his program.

For all those freaking out about Freeman, just imagine what the Hawks are going through right now with Jaeger. They've given up a hell of a lot more for a guy in a similar position injury-wise, basically expecting him to be the next superstar for the club.

With the position we are in, if Freeman can come good it will be a massive bonus. Our future hopes aren't resting on him alone - we gave up a bit, but not that much. We need to be patient with this one, there's no point berating the club about it just yet.

Confident Freeman will play AFL games in 2017.
Jaeger could Bomb and imagine the Hawks supporter melt if that happens.

I work with a German guy. I'm sure he gets more credibility.

Me " we need to use the widget instead of the thingamobob and we will get better reliability "
Them " ohh i don't know if that will work"
Him " Ja is true, mid der vidget ve get more reliable , das thingamobob is kaput "
Them " Yes ,we like that idea much better"

They grabbed a guy who has shown without doubt that he's top class when fit and firing. We grabbed a guy who has a bit of promise. Pretty different I reckon.

Yes but I'd much rather give up what we did for Freeman than they did for Jaeger. They basically traded away two drafts!

One showed class before the knee. One showed top 10 class in the juniors.

Neither are in the seniors. We paid a future second that we got back.

They paid two firsts one of which we have.
No difference at all, both are risks but we paid a heap less

A lot of circular posting about Nathan's hamstrings. Just for a change can anyone enlighten me on what Freeman's game is like. I know he has high top end speed, loves contact and a tackle. But I have no idea about his kicking efficiency. Is he an inside mid and part of the reason why we think we don't need anymore inside types? Or will he be another Jack Steven?

2 1sts & 3 2nds....

Picks 10, 23, 36 & 2017 1st & 2017 2nd were pretty much all given up just for O'Meara

Yes, we also gave up pick 30 for our guy.

Hawthorn gave up a first round pick and 3 second rounders to get their guy.

Yes, the reward will be a lot higher for Hawthorn, but we've give up FA really.

More jack Steven we will take thank you!

Not sure you can include ten and next years first as they gave up next years first to get 10.
Yes you can. They gave up 23, 36 & 2017 1st to get picks 10 & 68.... They then used pick 10 & a 2017 2nd for O'Meara.

I'm 100% correct. They pretty much gave up all of picks 10, 23, 36, 2017 1st & 2nd just to work a trade for O'Meara
