Its going to be frustrating for Saints fans due to media clowns like David King and Damian Barrett. Freeman could play 30 games in a row and miss a game theyll be all over us for trading for him.

And John Ralph listening to him over time , all he talks about is rumour nothing factual about anything AFL.

We should start a rumour that Pendls has a hammy and will be out for the year, see if Ralph and that porky King run with it

That wouldn't be a rumor as I believe it is very close to the truth.

I saw him at dinner at Di Stasio on Fitzroy st on Saturday night with his wife, on crutches with a significant apparatus around his left upper leg, moving very gingerly. Had to sit with his leg raised on a bar stool the whole time.

If it's not off the bone it's very close.

Rors , what's your take on Freezer and how we should go about his treatment, etc?
Difficult to say without being 'inside' the medical room. I say the club is taking the right approach. Any muscle or tendon injuries should always be managed with heavy focus on flexibility via eccentric strengthening (increasing strength & flexibility in the lengthening movement of the muscle or tendon), or that's at least what I try to achieve.

Once that's achieved, we work on the concentric side of things to build more overall explosive strength in each individual muscle fibre. Just gotta make sure we pay equal attention to the 'good' leg too.

I have an inkling that the 'set back' he had a couple of months ago was either over stretching to minor rupture of previous scar tissue or fibrous tissue around the previous injury site. Not too uncommon, but obviously we need to take extreme caution in Freeman's case & we are. So overall, I'm pretty confident that we'll see him soon enough

Reports from Tony74 and True Believer at SS was that Freeman is now in full team training and match simulation.

Apparently has pulled up well and was training again today.
Wohoo....
Good news!

Could play Sunday if picked.

Clubs just making sure this kid stays on the park when we let him get on it

Seriously man, I am just so grateful you are on this forum.

Thats crap and you know it..;)

He's had it amputated for medical science

Plz remember. ..you're recruiters should be sacked, why trade for a kid with no legs no arms no hope.

Freeman will be a jet..congrats to the medical staff who most importantly have Freeman believing he can be a footballer again and getting him to stick to an agreed fitness program

And that is a great point toxic. It's not that the Pies couldn't do what the Saints have done, it was Freemans perception and headspace.

Belief is a big component of recovery.

Confused. This mornings Hun reporting six weeks. So who knows what the situation is. Still, happy we made the trade. No risk, no reward.

id the same in his interview this morning. Again it's the club playing it safe. I have no problem with 6 weeks. That means he potentially could play most of this season.

Richo had an interview with sen.

He said freeman could play tomorrow however they want to get him right so will hold him back for 5-6 weeks and make sure that when he gets on the park he is there to stay. Ultra cautious and Freeman is stoked with this approach

Aish is a seagull who has no inside game with limited pace. Not what we need.
Not sure how much of Freeman you've actually seen, but he's not exactly an inside type either. Most just assume he is because of his build. It's something he might be able to add to his game, but as it stands, he's far more of an outside player than inside bull.

As a side note, you should watch more of Aish. Whilst he's predominantly outside, he actually has a reasonably decent inside game when he's required to do it.

I rate both Freeman and Aish very highly, you guys did extremely well to get Aish. But Freeman suits our needs more so than Aish if he can get fit because we are desperate for that outside pace. Would have been great to get both though.
