wtf is the story with scharenberg seriously.. talk in May that we were gonna re sign him.. its been bloody 4 mths and nearing the end of the yr.. im fearful adelaide have already pounced. he is exactly what we need down back.. i mean wtf is going on!!! get it done ffs
My working theory is that Scharenberg wants to stay but has a number in mind with his manager and we haven't hit it yet. Thinks that if he plays out the season in the seniors we'll give more ground.

Could so very easily be wrong though.

well we should send freeman to sweden norway greenland or wherever the f it is to get his hamstring sorted out and send scharenberg with him.. set him up with a few swedish girls.. get em to pull out the contract and hell gladly sign it..

Being asked to be delisted due to a degenerative hip condition hardly proves your point.

What was his point? That we keep Freeman.... Was just pointing out that there is a precedent for a top ten pick to be delisted after two years like you asked.

Are you talking about wogball again in the AFL forum Gimpy? MOds MOds.. Gimpy's derailing the thread with wogball discussion again!! MOdsss??... Card him!!

You're in trouble now.

Agreed, he cant be demanding too much.. 100k a year for 2 years max.
Hes gotta wonder why a professional organisation can have him miss two years from a hamstring injury when hes had no known injury history before though. He might feel like its not the place he wants to try again. Another similar two years and his career could be over.

Yeah that's what he's wondering.. and also if Bigfoot is behind it all o_O

If Scharenberg is demanding numbers at his age after showing nearly nothing tell him to stick it and trade him.

Nathan Freman will be part of our future, a bit of time and patience and with a drop of luck he should come good.
Can't understand the delisting argument, all draft choices are a bit of chance, a bit like buying well bred yearlings (ok that's way more of a lottery, as you don't see them gallop properly).
If Freman comes good we will likely have a gun we didn't have to give the farm for as we drafted him ie came cheap.
Scharenberg is the future, he will stay, and happily so.
In a few years if things go well(the hope, the dream, the plan) we will have Pendlebury as captain with support from Darcy Moore, Matthew Scharenberg, Nathan Freeman, that guy Treloar (that deal done yet?) Tom Langdon, Marley Williams, Taylor Adams, Jack Crisp, Jamie Elliot, Jonathan Marsh, Brandon Maynard, Brody Grundy, the great Witts (let's not give up big men) and Paul Seedman (that last one was to stir everyone up, but imagine if he puts it all together

And De Goey, sorry he's a gun! Nearly forgot him,
Pay penalty for that,

I think waiting to see if he can get over his hamstring by final list lodgement might be the best thing to do. Whenever that is.

I think the safest option is to delist everyone on the list ... I just dont see any other way..

I reckon we need to delist players from other clubs lists too, we're doomed anyway.

Actually I'm seriously thinking that we shouldnt list anyone.... at least on an annual or longer basis. I'd like to see the introduction of short-term playing contracts of two weeks to a month. If a player loses form or gets an injury we can cut them off the list immediately. That way we wont have to waste coaching resources on getting players back into form. Also if we can immediately cut the injured player, we can strip down the medical and fitness departments. It should save a lot of money.

you're just feeling a bit negative at the moment. Things will turn around quickly once we move the current coach along....
I think all coaches need to be sacked and all players need to be delisted. Start fresh and rebuild with the current crop of Auskickers.

no need to smartarse on this.... we're trying to find realistic solutions to these problems. I think delisting all the players is a reasonable step but we cant use the auskickers.... it would take 10 years before they were old enough to win a grand final..

unless we got clarko in... he'd be able to get them to win a grand final next year

Obviously we'd have the kids on a supplement program. I hear Clenbuterol works well, I'm surprised none of the other clubs are trying it.

How bout we make AFL fantasy/ Supercoach come to life. Get 2 Trades a week, trade out players underperforming, get some young kids to raise revenue and then fill the team with the best plaYers each available
