Body shape is comparable to both but I think both Danger and Shuey are more contested ball winners. I'm hoping Freeman ends up like Gaff.

Don't come on board too often. Just saw your post. Here is what you want:

Repeat Sprint
The repetitive sprint test was introduced in 2006. The test requires players to run 30m six times, with a 20-second break between each sprint.

rank score (seconds) name year
1 23.40 Joel Wilkinson 2010
2 23.46 Brad Harvey 2010
3 23.59 Chris Kangars 2007
4 23.62 Nathan Freeman 2013
5 23.64 Ahmed Saad 2011
6 23.69 Shaun Atley 2010
7 23.79 Lachlan Delgleish 2011
8 23.82 Devon Smith 2011
9 23.84 Kieran Harper 2010
10 23.87 Matthew Haynes 2011
11 23.91 Jack Fitzpatrick 2009
23.91 Matthew Haynes 2012

Looks like Freeman has the 4th best ever time.
Look at all those superstars......

Look at all those superstars......
In fairness, I don't think many of them were then picked up in the top 10 of their draft, although I haven't checked. Wilkinson the only other one to go as a high pick?

That suggests that Freeman has top level sprint ability like the others on that list, plus showed a good deal more footy ability.

Shaun Atley and Kieran Harper were taken picks 17 and 27 in 2010.
Wilkinson was a zone selection for the Suns, so presumably he would have gone reasonably high.
Devon Smith was taken pick 14 in 2011.
Saad was traded by the Saints for pick 20, along with Milera and pick 25, so hardly massive currency.
Jack Fitzpatrick was taken at pick 50 and the bloke is 199cm!
I don't believe any of Brad Harvey, Chris Kangars, Lachlan Delgleish, or Matthew Haynes were ever drafted.

So Freeman is a pretty rare beast in being that quick, but also having displayed enough as a junior to be drafted top 10.

We NEED a FAST outside player. I don't care about contested ball. Adams and Greenwood have us more than covered in that area. I hope Freeman comes in next year as that player.

He's actually the type of player we need, so basically it's like we're drafting one this year with a bit of a head start in fitness and physique. He'll eventually replace Swan.

Sorry folks have some sad news to convey.
Our much loved mod Vicky Park has suffered respiratory complications and has been hospitalised indefinitely.
A great burden has been placed upon the shoulders of NT.Thunder Gone Critical and Magpie Girl however, they assure me they will do their best.
Commiserations to Vicky Park and I/we wish her well.

Vicky Park please explain - Nathan is wearing a hat in the quoted photo so I don't understand the excitement. I thought you only were interested in hair styles? (& on field performance);)

Apologies for late comment, only just been catching up on this thread.

Strictly on field performances.:)

So apparently Freeman (along with caff) will be back in the VFL this week?
This is great news! His game time will be managed so will probs only play 60% game time or so given the nature of the hamstring but its still a step in the right direction.

Do you think Freeman is a chance to play in round 23 v Essendon if all goes well?

Dalgleish is on Essendons list.

Bloody excited to see what Freeman can produce. Let's hope his luck turns and his body stays sound. We really lack a burst type midfielder, even if Swanny did wind the clock back on Saturday.

A few VFL games to regain some confidence and head into pre season fit and firing will be the ideal result for Freeman.

Maybe if everything goes perfectly for him and we're zero chance of playing finals, why not

Doubt they would play Freeman. He would need to have big numbers to get a crack and with limited football this year, we should get him ready for a big one next year.

He's the type of player that could have a big preseason and if he gets it all together could play early in the year.

No.

They'll get game time in to him in the VFL, hopefully have him fit enough to run out games well for finals.

Leave the AFL debut for next year.

Purely give him minutes in the vfl, no need to rush him into senior footy.
Best way to prepare his body for a big preseason and a debut early next year!!

My God this Kid can’t Catch a Break.

Reminds me of Josh Thomas when he 1st came to the Club. With his Foot.

Hope that Injury in his 1st Pre-Season Game has not Destroyed his Career:cry:
