Talent identification and drafting is notoriously HIT and MISS and you seem to be trying to make a case that our recruiters have done a poor job but the results from the past three drafts don't support your argument:This is what concerns me sometimes.
I find it hard to believe that Freeman looked noticeably better than Cripps at JUNIOR level given how badly Cripps is dominating SENIOR level. You have to wonder how an experienced recruiter can get that so wrong. I mean, two years later and you can clearly see Cripps should have gone Top 3 in that draft.
This looks worse than than Hawthorn and Carlton not taking Pendlebury in 2005.
