Freeman is an investment that has not worked out. As such its time to cut our losses and get the best deal on the way out.

Like any investment, Freeman may come good, he may be a bust. The important thing now is to minimize the loss to us by getting the best deal.

I have noticed were more then happy to entertain the stkilda fans on this forum, yet the Collingwood fans that have been on the Stkilda board there replies have been erased.

Many Stkilda fans not all are calling for payback , and a vandeta style killing for payback for Luke Ball.
Also wanting to get payback from Essendon in regards to Carlisle,becouse of the way they got screwed in the Lovett deal.
Eventhough when pointed out to them by me, that Collingwood didnt screw Stkilda. Stkilda screwed Stkilda in regards to Luke Ball with the way they treated him. They erased my message.
Obviously the truth hurts!
Just remember Saints fans dont go poak a bear, we all know what happens!

I thought the guy came across as a bit of a knob in every interview he has done. Clearly loves himself and is a poor human being. His manager probably only thinks he is a ripping bloke because thats what Nathan "figjam" Freeman told him.

Goodbye Nathan, your life will never be the same knowing their maybe a Collingwood fan cooking your meal who may add some extra flavour to any meal you order when eating out in the future.

He is a WEAK DISGRACE and I hope picks up something he has to see the doctor for on a regular basis from the ST Kilda Schoolgirl.

The Pies were last night adamant their medical practices with Freeman were impeccable, as was his approach to rehab.

It is quite an uncommon charge by a departing player, to suggest that the rehab wasn't up to scratch. In fairness, I don't suppose there's much else the poor bastard could actually criticise.

If there's any concrete evidence that our medical and rehab practices are anything less than best practice, then I for one would be happy to hear it. Unfortunately, my suspicion is that Freeman and Connors are just throwing around mud to make themselves look cleaner. We'll see.

Agree. Anyone else who had been doing the training for god knows how long just to make the draft (let alone make the top 10) and then starts to think they might not end up with a career in it might start to think about long term security. If it's true that he will make $300K a year over three year ($900K) guaranteed at another club versus 150/200K plus match payments, then we might have a bit more empathy. I understand its bad for the club. BUT... we could match it... I know this won't be popular as my second post but... that's life.

I agree. Seems unlikely that the club would cut corners. He is leaving because the Saints have offered a more secure contract.

Was implying he, fairly sure I know who this poster is, omitted that particular bit from the article because it didn't suit his agenda and is disproving his earlier posts on the subject.

Leigh Matthews said on 3AW tonight that we should make a stand and send Freeman to the draft.

He was making the point that clubs need to send a strong message to players that they're not going to invest time and money developing them if they're just going to walk out.

I actually agree with him. Screw the trade, if Freeman wants to be a campaigner, send him to the draft and let Carlton or Brisbane have him. It's either us or them.

We need to make a stand.
