Your the idiot for tying to say who is the best from that draft at this stage, they not even two years into the system yet..No I used Martin because I couldn't split who was the best from te draft, Fyfe or Martin. Idiot.

Fyfe has more upside... already as good as Martin in my book but doesn't have the strength/size element. Both future A graders, if not now.
Fyfe + 7kg-10kg...![]()
What's the deal with Brad Sheppard? How's he tracking?Should have gone @ Pick 7 to the Eagles.
Looking like an average draft for WCE so far, great one for Freo.
Early call either way, still half a dozen players who could also be stars from that draft. No I used Martin because I couldn't split who was the best from the draft, Fyfe or Martin. Idiot.
Your Melbourne bias is showing...........at the moment Fyfe and Martin are clearly ahead of Trengove. IMO, Trengove is a accumulator and lacks the X factor that the other two have. As you said, it very early on but Fyfe and Martin are clear standouts. What's the deal with Brad Sheppard? How's he tracking?

Trengove tracking slightly behind, very slightly. Bastinac just behind that.
Morabito and Scully have had injury issues. Not sure on Rohan to be honest. Cunnington and Melksham have been solid, Moore a bit dissapointing early and Butcher and Talia still developing among others

I'd disagree mate. I honestly believe that Trengove probably executes skills the best out of the 3. His overhead marking is a highlight, but he certainly isn't as explosive as the other two. I'll give you that.Your Melbourne bias is showing...........at the moment Fyfe and Martin are clearly ahead of Trengove. IMO, Trengove is a accumulator and lacks the X factor that the other two have. Interesting to have another look at this... Martin has just continued to grow in performance and stature to the point of being probably a top 3 player in the league right now.
Fyfe has been arguably the best player in the competition in the past but at just 25/26 his history of a broken leg has taken the lustre off Fyfe and there are questions as to whether he will ever regain past form.
Probably because Dusty wasn't quite at his peak and wasn't considered one of the best players, whereas now that Fyfe has been the best once before (and could still return to it) and Dusty is in discussions it's easier to get a view on who is best when at their most dominant.Let's try it next year to see if Fyfe regains full fitness. Not really a fair discussion at the moment with Fyfe coming off a serious long term injury.
Why didn't you bump the thread when Fyfe was uninjured and the best player in the league?

Yeah but at their best you would take Fyfe.I posted because i just thought of it... is that ok? Lol I've acknowledged Fyfe's injury.
But honestly, i take Martin as of right now and i suspect i take Martin next year too. Three years ago i might have taken Fyfe.
Hopefully Fyfe csn come back stronger with a preseason.. but his kicking is not elite, and right now he is not breaking from packs or impacting games anywhere to the level Martin is. That's not a Fyfe bashing, its just stating the obvious.

Not Martin bashing, its just stating the obvious.
Richmond fans won't be happy until everyone agrees with them that Martin is better than everyone else in the league.
LOL!No..... you obviously would, but don't speak for me mate.
At his best, Fyfe was amazing... dominated games.... but was flawed. 1. He is not an elite kick and in fact butchered it on the main stage (grand final). 2.For all his potential as a midfielder who goes forward, he doesnt kick the amount of goals that he should and Martin kicks more goals. 3.He is not as durable as Martin. 4. Martin is a better run and carry midfielder.
For mine Martin is the better player with a higher future ceiling than Fyfe. I think Fyfe's absolute best is behind him and as good as it was, i think Martin if he is not already, he will get to a higher level.
LOL!
To be honest was trolling a bit but Dusty has never been as dominant as Fyfe has, Dusty has never been the clear no. 1 player in the comp and as long as Dangerfield is healthy he never will be.
Dusty is great, even elite but he has not proven himself to be a superstar at Danger/Fyfe levels.

Why else would this thread be bumped after 6 years? Another player tiger fans can cross of their list as Dusty's inevitable rise to the undesputed number one player in the comp continues.Really..... I dont think u deserve smoke blown up ur arse with your stupid comment but... i rate Dangerfield as better right now. I also highly rate Franklin as at least currently equal. But as we currently sit, Martin is in elite form... not sure that is a debate.
